It is the best hotel in Guildford city centre
Nothing to not like
Scarlet was very friendly and helpful at reception and the room and hotel were very nice.
Parking was not included
Nice breakfast. Complimentary water and snacks in the room.
TV is not smart. It only has regular TV channels.
Très confortable. Tout y était. Hotel très bien situé pour le centre ville.
Staff super helpful and nice - especially all who work on reception. Rooms are nice, comfy and clean. Great location for heading to G-Live or into town.
Nothing. It’s all good!
Location and parking
Paper thin walls in the room, a lot of noise from the room next door.
Across the road from Guildford’s GLive it was perfectly placed for our visit. Clean accommodation with a comfortable 4’6” double bed and tiny shower room en-suite. Teas and coffee available in the room.
We were ‘upgraded’ to a tiny room in the old coach house, right next to the access door which slammed shut everytime it was used during the evening and the bin men arrived at 6.45am waking us early. So although the bed was snugly comfortable we had a very disturbed night together with waking very chilly as it seemed the air conditioning/heating hadn’t worked. Apparently we should have had a room in the basement which frankly would have been preferred instead of the upgrade (we had a better view from the window apparently)
The key worked. The lady on reception was nice. The location is decent.
The room (04) was tiny- when you could find it. It was past the reception, up the stairs, along a corridor, down some stairs, along again, down some more, turn right, down some stairs, turn right, down a corridor and then on the right.
Room and bathroom were laughably small, I am a 6ft bloke. Having had a late night, I was not impressed to be woken at 7am on a Sunday morning by the person in the next room talking loudly on his phone - that is how bad the acoustics were.
The hotel smelt damp and musty.
