If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. The customer service and complete lack of regard for the guest experience were appalling.

In May, I booked a one-night stay for a July wedding through Hilton’s reservation center. The Hilton agent confirmed that one night was allowed and gave me the wedding-block rate, with an email receipt to prove it. When I arrived, the hotel refused to honor that confirmed rate, claiming the block required two nights and the reservation agent had made a mistake. The front-desk staff were incredibly rude and dismissive when I was understandably upset about the unexpected increase.

My rate increased by $124, bringing the total to approximately $400 for ONE night. That price is an absolute rip-off for a small, basic room with one bed, no balcony, no included breakfast, and a location in a retail parking lot next to Home Depot. I have stayed in oceanfront Airbnbs and timeshares for less.

I had little choice but to accept the increase because I had less than an hour to get ready and board transportation to the wedding.

Afterward, I called Hilton customer service first. They agreed that the difference should be refunded and transferred me to the hotel because the hotel was refusing their request and said I needed to speak with them directly. During that one call with the hotel, I was repeatedly interrupted, yelled at, and told, “You are not getting a refund,” before the front-desk representative hung up on me. They claimed that offering me a second night to get the room block rate was an adequate solution the day I arrived—as though paying for a night I did not need or plan for was helpful at all.

After that treatment, I knew there was no point in calling the hotel again. I called Hilton customer service back, and thankfully, they handled the situation professionally and issued me a refund check.

I greatly appreciate Hilton corporate making it right, but that does not excuse the appalling behavior of the staff at this hotel—both at check-in and afterward. I would never stay at this location again and strongly recommend booking elsewhere.

We were visiting family in Marshfield for the weekend.

The staff was pleasant and courteous.

Our room was clean and spacious.

The location can be a bit tricky since you have to enter the hotel parking lot by passing Home Depot.

They do offer breakfast, but it’s not included; however, coffee is complimentary.

There’s a pool, and the hotel is dog-friendly.

All in all, it’s a nice place to stay for the price.
