Kettle and phone in room didnt work . Replacement kettle didnt work .
Hoovering at breakfast time .
Location is good. Large car park. Lovely big rooms.Comfy lounges and bar. Small games room. Beautiful large dining room.
The breakfast could have been better , not a lot of variety and food looked and tasted Asif it had been made too long. The coffee was rubbish.
Great location. Staff very friendly and approachable
Cabin was fine as was hot tub but both showing some signs of age.
Jacuzzi by the pool out of order and pool tiny
Food was expensive for the quality
Items missing at breakfast not told when ordering
Stay was very expensive what you got
Either food to be cheaper or better quality
Better lighting by hot tub (solar power fairy lights would be enough)
It was a beautiful location, with views of the lake. The rooms were big and it had a nice pool.
It wasn’t very clean. We found multiple hairs on the carpet of our room
Friendly staff and nice food.
Lovely Lou ge with open fire
The property was in a bit of disrepair , the window latch and mirror in our room were broken
Reception staff were nice while we stay.
Noises in the midnight, Dogs, poor hygiene.
Stayed 3 nights from new years eve, for £40 laid on food and entertainment 👌
We went to the hotel for New Year and stayed for 3 nights. On New Year's Eve we went to the party and enjoyed the curry buffet. The act was a singer who was very good and we also enjoyed a piper and a glass of bubbly at midnight. The night felt like a family party with such friendly staff and guests.
The staff were lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever eaten. There was a wide choise and everything was cooked fresh and was piping hot.
Excellent value
This hotel has great potential and tries to compete with the Swan across the road but there is no comparison really. Its a two star at best. Most disappointing is the bar area. When you go to use the toilet your feet will stick to the disgusting worn out carpets. On my visit the gent behind the bar kept calling me Pal and didn’t even say hello. The food is exceptionally average and you can’t even get a packet of peanuts anymore. Its a shame because they’ve let themselves down on silly things that could easily be put right.
Location
In need of some TLC
Good location
Old and tired inside
Room clean overlooking the garden for the dog. Food absolutely beautiful. Lady on the bar was exceptional but all other staff let this place down. Reception rude and waitress in the morning didn't even utter a word (very uncomfortable), she wanted us gone, even though breakfast is served til 10. No one to tell us where to go, just left. Would I return? No. Staff need training of some sort.
Location perfect for south lakes, warm and clean, quiet and comfortable, good value for money
Cool pool and spa didn’t really deliver. Rather slow breakfast buffet for cooked breakfast
Fantastic stay for NYE great hotel and rooms. Staff were all lovely and food amazing. Unfortunately for us we had to leave early due to illness but will highly recommend and look at coming back another time
Little more atmospheric for the NYE party room but still a good night
Friendly yet quirky staff
The hotel is on a seriously busy road which you need to cross to venture out on foot
The food quality wasn’t good, we ate our first evening meal there, then chose to eat out
Breakfast was ok but had been sitting on the hot plate a while despite being quite busy
Staff brushed crumbs and mess off tables onto the floor
Locația este minunată și aspectul hotelului în stil rustic excelent .
Sar putea un pic mai multă atenție la curățenie și la facilități în mod special piscina care ar face totul mult mai atractiv.
I can’t praise this hotel enough . There is ample parking . The food is lovely and it is very dog friendly but what sets it apart from other hotels is the staff. they go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble . The hotel is handy for drives into ulverston or Bowness and Windermere . We regularly return as they make us feel so welcome .
Location and the character of the property,it was warm and cozy.
Wasn’t very clean, fixtures and fittings ready for replacement and possible refurb in areas required.
