This is a much older property that is being remodeled —the rooms are done. Many upgrades.
The bed certainly wasn’t nice plus mattress very hard.
The room was new re_done. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Things are being remodeled and things were under construction. The green paint in the hallway turned me off! This is an old motel being fixed up. Didn’t like the location. The hard surface flooring in the room was new and clean but cold.
The room was clean.
Breakfast was a joke. No breas, no working pancake.
I hadn't stayed there in a few years and really enjoyed the upgrade to the lobby, but especially to the room. Tons of modernization has been done and really allowed me a great nights rest.
Breakfast was pretty a typical of a stay at a budget hotel, but it has always been like that there.
My experience at Sunflower Inn was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered.
The condition of the property was concerning from the start. During my stay, I observed what appeared to be cockroaches in the room which I caught and confirmed with Google lense. This immediately raised serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. When I brought these issues to management's attention, I expected professionalism and a sincere effort to address the problem. Instead, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of accountability.
What made an already unpleasant situation far worse was the behavior of the manager. Rather than listening respectfully to legitimate concerns, the manager was dismissive, rude, and openly disrespectful. I left feeling that my concerns were not only ignored but that I was treated differently and with less respect because of my gender considering a horrified male guest stepped in and had vastly different treatment. The attitude displayed was unprofessional, condescending, and entirely inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing leadership role.
While cleanliness issues can sometimes occur at any property, the true measure of a business is how it responds when problems are reported. In this case, the lack of accountability, poor customer service, and disrespectful treatment were far more troubling than the physical condition of the room itself.
I cannot recommend Sunflower Inn to anyone seeking a clean, welcoming, or professionally managed place to stay. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage travelers to look elsewhere.
The hotel is under renovation and though our room was renovated, the rest of the hotel wasn’t. Also, one staff person handled the reception desk as well as the breakfast food and the service suffered for it. Breakfast wasn’t very good.
Rooms were decent
Fraudulent charges. The entrance is disgusting, smelling gross, the pool had no hater, the people in the parking lot looks like gangbanger. Not a good place to take your children. We were here for a tournament and my friend also booked two rooms as well as myself and they ended up overdrafting him $1700. I won’t give it back, but now he has to cancel his credit card.
The showers, amazing!!
Still under remodel
The general manager (Mr. Mayur Patel)was very nice and helpful. He tried really hard to make our one night stay very comfortable.
The whole property which was huge, going under remodeling/ construction.
The shower
That they charged my card multiple times, putting my account negative. When trying to explain to the front desk, he wouldn't listen.
The breakfast wasn’t kept up and the entree’s were empty or sitting a while.
I liked everything from the staff to the building itself. It was perfect.
Super clean! Everything is new--- beds, cabinets, shower, etc. It is very techy.
The outside seemed very deserted and scary.
Love love the shower 🚿 . Love all the outlets and love the T.V. awesome. The Bed was great.it was very clean . The USB changing port . Microwave , fridge, hair dryer all supplied.
The bathroom door didn't latch and when opened it hit the toilet seat. ( If you leave the seat up the door will open past the seat) The ceiling fan doesn't operate or I could get it to work . Other than that it was GREAT.
If you are a single woman or traveling without your husband, please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. I reserved a junior suite and found a cockroach climbing up the wall. Caught the bug and took it to the night clerk, who confirmed it was a cockroach and moved us to the renovated side of the hotel. I confronted a manager the next day and was told it was a fly. He escalated the situation, called me a liar because I had more kids than I had in my reservation (nothing was said about them when I checked in), and yelled in my face. He made no attempt to remedy the situation or even acknowledge that there was a cockroach in my room. They did end up taking $40 off my bill, but that was after charging me an extra $80. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone, especially by someone in the hospitality industry. The hotel is currently under renovation and is not a safe place for children. The atrium is full of stacked furniture and old, dirty mattresses. There are nails all over the hallway floor by the reservation desk. Some kind of liquid was dripping from the ceiling in the lobby and falling all over the floor. No bucket, nothing to keep someone from stepping in it. Hallways in the non renovated area are full of junk. Electrical box was dangling from the ceiling low enough to hit people in the head. I highly recommend staying anywhere else.
They never let me in the room, after I had paid for it in full, online.
