Friendly staff, beautiful locations and yes Offcourse the Ducks. Stayed 3 nights and loved it.
Location / duck pond
No air conditioning. Gym outdated/ poor quality. Lights out downstairs- showered in dark with lamp.
Breakfast good- toast- bread very low standard of brand
Very friendly and efficient staff, really nice room and beautiful gardens
We find it hard to find anything we didn’t like.
Positioning of hotel and setting.,
Nothing
Lovely grounds, gardens, pond. Really clean, nice tables by the pond to sit and have a drink. Shame no tables to eat outside as the restaurant was super hot! Room was nice, big bath and four poster bed. No aircon but a decent fan.
Basic spa, location is beautiful but too far to walk to anywhere
Food excellent Good service 👌
Reception staff helped with extra pillows and also placing hand rails for the shower
The location
Some of the staff were a bit rude
Good location, lovely staff, good food and a spa with pool.
The room advertised on booking.com which apparently we could book was not the one we were allocated so not as advertised. We could not have stayed in that room as it was very noisy with extractor fan noise, small with a very small en-suite and an awful view.
We were given an upgrade to a lovely room but had to pay for it which in this instance we were happy to do.
Setting
Food
Good quiet location, very friendly staff, decent pool, good sized room.
Breakfast in particular.... Although spread was seemingly extensive, please use good quality sausages, eggs, coffee, juice. The were all low cost and poor quality. I asked for a barista coffee from the bar and I was happy to pay, but nobody could stretch to this.
Nice decor and cleanliness
No lift or disabled access points.
Staff were excellent. Reception extremely helpful with the booking. Restaurant staff patient and helpful when I mixed up the dates when booking. Kitchen staff made us a packed lunch at 11am when 8pm the previous evening was the deadline. We didn't know this until we asked at reception where we could buy snacks.
The bathroom had very little shelf space for toiletries. The plumbing was occasionally noisy.
Very good location, peaceful, with lovely scenery.
NA
The staff were friendly and breakfast was very good.
The beds were tired and worn out and not comfortable. The accommodation very basic for the price we paid.
