I had an ok stay at Damson Dene but there was just something missing.
Pros:

A very comfortable and large room with excellent bathroom facilities. Spotlessly clean throughout. I ate in the restaurant the first evening and had a lovely meal. Grounds were well kept but due to the poor weather I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the garden!

Cons:

The buffet breakfast was ok, it’s always hard to keep it fresh and hot, but the bacon was undercooked and the fried eggs quite rubbery.
There was just something missing from my whole experience at Damson Dene, I’m struggling to put my finger on it. There wasn’t a “warmth” from most of the staff. They were very “functional”. When I asked about a taxi to the theatre I was given a card with contact details whereas I suppose I would have expected more help from the hotel.

Perfect
Pros:

Stayed in Cabin 1, it was perfect, very relaxing with the hot tub and the log fire on ready for when you got out of the hot tub. The accommodation was very clean with everything you need. The evening meal and breakfast was very good. The accommodation was set in beautiful gardens, would definitely come back and recommend to family and friends.

Very comfortable stay.
Pros:

The view of the gardens from the bar area was beautiful. Very well kept grounds. Very dog friendly.
The bar area is where you have meals if you have a dog with you , however it is a very comfortable area .
Food was very nice and the prices we felt were reasonable. All the staff were professional but also friendly . Really nice feel and atmosphere about the hotel.
The hotel has several extentions that look like they have been added over the years .
Rooms vary , we booked a very reasonably priced break ( mon / tues night)through booking.com.
We were originally given a basic room. Upstairs.
However we preferred to be on the ground floor with the dog.
We chose an upgrade to a family room. Very spacious and all though it was in one of the older parts of the hotel it was very comfortable, it had a comfy sofa and an arm chair.
We would definitely stay again.

Cons:

It's a 3☆ hotel .. we had a good early week deal however it's a bit pricey towards the weekend.

Was onlt there for couple of nights, but had the bed and breakfast, and close to Bowness and shops

Within easy reach of the Lakes in delightful tranquil countryside.
Pros:

Very pleasant gardens and from our bedroom window a pleasant view. A welcoming view from the dining room. Breakfast was as expected. It was easy to get from one place to another around Windermere.

Cons:

The water/central heating pipe rattled at night when someone turned on their tap. If as intended we had brought our dog with us - which we didn't in the end - there was little room to set up her cage. The eggs were not up to temperature for breakfast. The mattress could have been comfier.

Ok but noisy if your room is opposite the kitchen

Cons:

Room was opposite the kitchen and there was too much noise from the staff. Room was small and no bottled water provided. Receptionist was noisy and patronising to some of the older guests while we were sitting in the foyer

All in all, we had a nice relaxed week away, in stunning settings..

Room size was very good, we went for the deluxe double room, more than enough space, the views from our room were stunning..
House keeping came round every morning..

Pros:

The Cabins were amazing proper cozy with the burner on after getring out of the hot tub the food was so tasty and worth the money the staff work very hard one staff member came over in the pouring down rain to see if we needed anything for our cabin

Cons:

There wasnt anything i didnt like it was by far one of my fav breaks in a long time

Cons:

small bed , no dog bowl in room , no clean water for dog , loud screatching noise in pipes at 11pm and 7-30am waking us up , being charged an extra £18 for pool, very abrupt , unapproachable lady on reception
