Pros:

Excellent location comfortable bed and great towels breakfast great and really nice bar with balcony ovet looking river. Car parking very good on site and undercover.

Cons:

No air conditioning which due to heat wave made sleep less comfortable than normal, but a fan was provided and I think overall the hotel was good value for money

It’s ok, would stay again if i really needed to

Great location right in the centre of Kendal, with onsite parking.

Cons:

The bedrooms are very tired and in desperate need of renovation and dragging back to 2026.
Bathroom was ok, but a bit grubby and needs refitting. Shower head is lower than your head height with no option to adjust it.
No air con or room fan makes it pretty uncomfortable in warm weather too
TV in the room is very old, slow and poor quality.

Central hotel with good safe parking
Pros:

Not far to walk to city centre.
Car parking at hotel good.
Friendly reception staff.
Although we didn't use leisure facilities was good to have free access to.
Had a fan in bedroom which was a plus as we had tempertures up to 32 degrees.

Cons:

Meal in restaurant not fully cooked and had to be returned to kitchen, hence only ate once at hotel.
Cooked Breakfast could have been hotter.
Some housekeeping issues - dirt and dead fly on cill next to table at breakfast. Bathroom had issues with dirt along cistern edge which was only spotted when in bath and sink plug not clean with black rim.

Lovely two days
Pros:

Hotel lovely, staff very friendly and helpful with a massive shout out for Hayley behind the bar ,such a breath of fresh air,cannot say enough about her .a real asset to the hotel.

Nice place...shame about the dinners.
Pros:

Perfect location for town and accessing the Lake District. Parking satisfactory and a nice welcome. Our room overlooked the river and was well-equipped and comfortable. Though the furnishing was a little worn, the room was clean and tidy. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. The restaurant serving the evening meal had a pleasing bistro atmosphere and the staff were excellent. The overpriced food was extremely disappointing. First night, the tiny dish of lasagna was poor and the second night's beef-burger had bone and gristle and was served on a dry bun with one lettuce leaf a thin slice of tomato; it was unpleasant. Wine and cocktails were very good. This was a real shame.
