Staff were friendly. Hotel was warm and inviting. Food was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Everyone was very helpful.

I left my straighteners and they denied any knowledge of it. Said they would ring back and didn’t. I rang again the following day, same response, no sign of my property and they would ring back as I said I would divert my journey to pick them up. They didn’t ring back. Appreciate it was my fault for leaving them there but where did they go? Complete mystery and poor response from the hotel.
The room was very comfortable and the location was a short stroll to the Blacksmiths.

It was freezing cold
Nice sized room, we had the accessible room and it had everything I needed for my independence. We ate in the resteraunt and we found the food lovely and good value.
The rooms are recently refurbished & very comfortable.
We’ve stayed at this hotel many times in the past on route to Scotland. After a very long journey what we really wanted was room service. Whilst the hotel still offers room service, the menu available is much reduced in comparison to our past visits so we had to use the restaurant in order to have an evening meal. We requested breakfast to be served in our room in the morning but the food request cards that we filled in were not collected despite being hung on the door handle as instructed by the hotel. This made us very late leaving in the morning as we once again had to use the restaurant. A little room for improvement.
Bed was so comfy that was the best two nights sleep I've had in ages. The staff were lovely only complaint was you couldn't tip the bar staff or give them a drink which I feel is very unfair.

It was spacious and beds and sofa beds made up for arrival which was helpful. Also away from main hotel.

At 10.45pm our bedroom door opened with a couple stating that they had just been allocated the room, our key card subsequently stopped working the next morning. Not a great experience going to bed
This was a last minute booking on a long car journey. The best surprise for the price - lovely rooms, brilliant staff, very good food.
