Cottages- perfect for families.
Pros:

A stop over whilst travelling through the UK. We stayed in the cottages attached to the hotel, kids loved having their own room, open plan kitchen and living room was spacious, 2 bathrooms:walk in shower and bath options- perfect for families. We had an à la carts dinner in the restaurant- delicious food and generous portions in the kids menu. All staff were lovely and friendly. Wish we could have stayed for longer

Best hotel by far, would definitely recommend.
Pros:

Everything was excellent, superb location a few minutes' walk to Gretna Green forge etc. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was just the right temperature given the very hot weather.

Breakfast was good although would have liked more selection of fruit

A hook in the bathroom to hang dressing gown or clothes on. A set of drawers would have been nice for smaller articles of clothing.

A lovely room in a beautiful location.
Pros:

Nice large bed with a very comfortable firm mattress.

Cons:

1st night the room was very noisy, it sounded like pipes banging or possibly an air conditioning motor or pump. It started at 2 in the morning and went on till we got up.

The room was clean and comfortable. It is a good location if you wish to visit the Gretna Green Blacksmiths Shop.

Cons:

On arrival we were informed that the hotel restaurant would not be open for dinner. This was disappointing.

Great hotel with excellent facilities and staff, had a great time

The hotel was set in a great location, surrounded by lovely well kept garden. The rooms and the hotel were very clean and spacious the staff were brilliant and the food excellent, would recommend and stay there again
