Paid for a Queen Suite, received a regular room, and found a bed bug

Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience at this property.

Cons:

I booked and paid for a Queen Suite, but I was given a regular Queen Room instead and was still charged for the Queen Suite.
Then, at approximately 2:40 a.m., I found what appeared to be a bed bug crawling on the bed in Room 211. I immediately killed it and took several photos of the insect and the blood left on the sheet. I also kept the actual insect as evidence. After finding it, I was so uncomfortable that I could not sleep for the rest of the night.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., I reported the issue to security and spoke with Tony. When I told him I had found a bed bug, he looked at me with what I perceived as a sarcastic smile and said, “Okay, let's see what your bed bug looks like,” and then asked, “Do you even know what a bed bug looks like?” I found his response rude and dismissive. Instead of feeling like my concern was being taken seriously, I felt gaslit and questioned about something I had personally seen and documented.
I asked to be moved to another room because I was willing to give the property an opportunity to resolve the situation and continue my stay. However, I was told that another room could not be provided.
I also noticed that the security gates surrounding the pool were intentionally propped open throughout the day rather than being kept closed. This was concerning to me, especially since those gates appeared to be there to control access to the pool area.
I had driven approximately 4½ hours from Los Angeles in traffic for this trip. Between paying for a Queen Suite and receiving a regular Queen Room, finding what appeared to be a bed bug on my bed, being unable to sleep, the way my complaint was initially handled, being unable to get another room, and seeing the pool security gates propped open, I did not feel comfortable continuing my stay and ultimately left the property.
I have multiple photographs documenting the insect and bedding and retained the actual insect as evidence.

Notte a Palm Springs
Pros:

Camera spaziosissima, all’interno della stanza c’è il lavandino ed a parte la stanza con wc e vasca. La struttura ha anche la piscina, buona la posizione.

Cons:

L’hotel non fa la colazione, nella Hall è presente il caffè, all’interno della camera non c’è né il phon né micoronde e macchinetta del caffè; alcuni dettagli della camera erano un po’ rovinati.
