Hangzhou Hua Chen International hotel

It's about 5 - 10 min walk from Subway station. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, where you can take airport bus to the airport, need to buy ticket first at a tour agency nearby hotel (ask fo location at the hotel). Wifi is ok.

Very spacious, clean and convenient hotel. Service is excellent. Reception assisted to get cab. Breakfast is excellent. Very very good spread. Yummy noodles, yummy wholemeal bread...

Except that the hotel is a little bit old style, everything else was perfect, especially the breakfast on the last floor. Beautiful view and very good food! Recommended.

The staff were very helpful. I have ordered a couple of parcel prior to arriving and they have signed and kept until my arrival for me. Our room overlook west lake, which is perfect. Room is a tad small. Shower is the best I have had in China so far.

Front desk staff is friendly and check in is fast. Room is clean and bed is comfortable (though the pillow is a bit soft). However, the wifi connection is not good enough for viewing/receiving videos. Breakfast offers quite a good spread of Chinese and western food. The location is good, near shopping areas and there are a lot of eateries around on the street and in the shopping malls. It should be about 10+ mins' walk to west lake if not for the construction works currently under way. Probably will choose it again if we visit west lake again.

The location was convenient, close to the lake and easy to reach from the Metro line.

The main thing about this hotel is that the location is great. It's walking distance to West Lake, and right along the main street with plenty of food and shopping and boba options. It's a bit older (though I only have hotels in Shanghai to compare it with, so maybe it's more a city thing than this particular hotel) and less updated, but the rooms are an okay size and fairly clean.

The front desk folks are helpful and can help you get show tickets for Impression West Lake or offer a driver + van (we had one take us to the tea mountain for a very reasonable fee) if you're interested.

This was the only hotel I booked in China that didn't offer free breakfast (not sure if they do breakfast at all) but overall still a pretty good deal.

It is an old hotel, about 10 mins walk from the metro station and 15 mins walk to the West Lake. The staff do not look and talk friendly. Room is old and old fashion looking,

Older style hotel but kept clean with good facilities, handy to shops and 10 min walk to lake. Staff helpful. Rooms reasonable size, beds ok a bit hard for what I'm used too. Smoking alowed in certain areas of the hotel, one being the lobby which is unfortunate for non-smokers. Overall good hotel.

Hotel centrally located and easy to find, as very close to metro station. Check in was fine, though they do seem to require a large deposit (1000元) which wasn't indicated before hand, and not good at all.

The twin room was acceptable, clean and tidy, but decor a little old. Looks just like photos without quite such a nice light. Toiletries and other things in room were also acceptable.

Service in general was fine, although sometimes short impolite answers given, which was far from acceptable.

The gym on the fourth floor was adequate, several running and cycling machines, and a general weight machine, which was good to use in the evenings.

The WiFi was super slow, and I believe their SSL certificate is outdated, so this aspect is poor.

Overall fine for our stay.

Hotel service was decent, building is very dated though, doesn't look like the photos (much darker, smaller). Room is small and cramped for china standards, entrance lounge has people smoking in all the time. Good location to West lake and airport bus

Not a good experience

After they fail to contact me when I am on the flight, they cancel my booking due to hot demand, they help me to book another hotel next to it in the end.

Great breakfast, convenient location, and very friendly staff

The air inside the hotel is not very clean, maybe they need to clean the filters of the air-condition, the internet is very slow at night, and the remote control of the TV is not working most of the time.

Very disappointed with the service as they had released my room to others as I did not manage to check in on time even though it was relayed to them that we would be arriving the next morning due to transport issues. I had to wait for another available room as the non smoking rooms were not available. I had to settle for a smoking room and had to wait while they clean up.
My point is that my room should be already reserved for me as payment has already being made upfront. Dont think hotels should maximise their room occupancy at the expense of paid customers.

The room was clean but the air conditioning and wifi did not work well so sleeping was quite uncomfortable. The gym was very small and the hallways smelled like cigarettes. Staff were friendly.

Price was good. Comfotable. Had a good stay. Made mistake about location but everything
you need is walking distance.

Ideal location. Everything within easy reach. Room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast above average with nice view of west lake.
