Location, staff and cleanliness!

Cons:

The room was dingy, located on the ground floor, and may as well have been in the basement. We booked a "Superior King Room" and it was down the corridor from the staff room, cleaners, etc. The bathroom is super tiny, awkward to manoeuvre in. Not happy. $202 what a waste. Not even a microwave. We travel all around Australia and The Barkly Homestead (NT), in the middle of bumcrack nowhere have bigger rooms for $230 per night.

Good location, but let down by noisy rooms..

Cons:

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have previously been very happy. This time as a different experience. The room I was provided was very noisy. Plumbing from the room above running constantly, which was super loud. The doors to the rooms do not stop the noise from the corridors, which was very loud all night with people coming and going, and slamming doors. Bit of a shame, as had been good previously.

Pros:

Great location. Very convenient for our function at the Townsville Yacht club. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our first floor room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, shower was great and toiletries were lovely.
