Excellent location
Nothing
Air conditioning is still advertised although it is not available - I have asked previous for this misleading information to be updated please on all web pages.
The hotel is very close to the harbourside and Park St areas of Bristol; articularly good for events at The Beacon (graduate ceremonies etc.). Ibis offers discounted parking at two MSCP's nearby which is very handy. Make sure to book this before you drive into the car park.
A small, accessible dining area is available on the ground floor next to the reception. Breakfast is reasonably priced and looked ok, although I didn't try it.
The 'Double Room' I booked was adequate if not quite small; designed in a 'capsule' style, with a shower and toilet 'pod' taking up one corner. TV, air-con, phone, kettle etc. all featured next to some hanging rails. The hotel is in a busy restaurant area; the triple glazed window will cancel all outdoor noise and needs to be closed to hear the TV or to sleep.
If you book a Double Room make sure you are getting a double bed, not a twin room with two single beds pushed together; I had the latter. Both beds had single mattresses but were covered with a double sheet. The beds separated continually throughout the night leaving an uncomfortable gap in the middle. Lots of 'falling' dreams ensued! Unfortunately the manager was not amenable to my pointing this out. Poor customer service, which will influence my choice of hotel on my next visit to Bristol.
Location was perfect for what we wanted
The bathroom "pod" in the room was tired the door and frame were so distorted the door would not close.
The cooked buffet style breakfast was cold the coffee was good though.
Perfect location for the music festival at the amphitheatre
Bin hadn't been emptied from previous occupier
Great central location
Quite outdated room interior
Near to my venue and railway station
Exceptional noisy outside until very late. My room was not comfortable, hard chair. Bathroom was a disabled person one.
Location is excellent and the breakfast was very good
Rooms are small and AC is not working
The location is right at the centre. The buffet breakfast is excellent in both quantity and variety. The room was big and comfortable. We got in at about 2.30 am, but we had a very good check in.
I needed to exchange paper money for some coins to pay for public transport, but was informed that the hotel did not keep any. I think this can be improved as it will help people like us who got to the hotel at night.
Breakfast finished early
Went for a concert at the O2 academy. This hotel is really close and near to bars and shops. We didnt have the breakfast so cant tell you about it.
Dont think there was anything bad about the hotel that springs to mind
Great location
Bathroom door didn’t close- were told tjis was a general problem with most of the rooms
We weren’t expecting much as it was a cheap night stay to be closer to the airport before our early morning flight. However, we were pleasantly surprised with how nice/clean the place was and how close it was to everything in Bristol
