LOUNGE BAR
Pros:

on arrival we were surprised to find entire main hotel bar occupied by extensive wedding party
are such functions not normally accomodated in function room of a large hotel ?

A Fantastic Stay – Exceptional Service!
Pros:

Having never stayed at this hotel before, I called ahead of my visit to enquire about parking. Cameron dealt with my call and was incredibly helpful, explaining that although the hotel doesn’t have its own car park, there is secure parking available right next door. This was extremely convenient and made arriving at the hotel completely stress-free.

On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Cameron, who was just as pleasant, friendly and helpful in person. First impressions really do count, and Cameron certainly made a great one!

I stayed for three nights and was genuinely impressed with my room. It was lovely, clean, comfortable and very well stocked with everything I could possibly need during my stay. It was clear that attention had been paid to the little details, which made the room feel very welcoming.

I also spent some time working in the bar area and had lunch there, which was lovely. Once again, the team were attentive, friendly and professional without being intrusive. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

I ate in the restaurant every evening during my stay, and I have to give a special mention to Mustafa, the Restaurant Manager. He was an absolute standout. He was incredibly pleasant, welcoming and personable, and took the time to have genuine conversations with me rather than simply providing the usual level of service. His warmth and personality really made a difference and made me feel like a valued guest.

It’s actually my interactions with Mustafa, alongside the fantastic welcome from Cameron and the consistently friendly team, that would make me want to return to this hotel.

From the moment I made my initial phone call to the moment I left, I felt welcomed, looked after and genuinely appreciated as a guest.

A fantastic hotel with a brilliant team. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in staying here again and would happily recommend it to others. Five stars from me!

The perfect weekend away
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay, we found the staff very friendly from our greeting on our arrival all through our stay. We had amazing views over both the dock and Liver Building. The room was amazing. The food was good and we enjoyed a cooked breakfast as well as a cold selection. The evening menu was slightly limited but we find this at most Malmaison’s and the staff were very flexible by letting me slightly adapt things such as salmon from the protein bowl with avocado and new potatoes. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Beautiful hotel, service lacking
Pros:

Loved the hotel, the decor, the setting

Cons:

Maybe we got unlucky with weekend we visited…bar staff were very rude, took a long time to serve and seemed annoyed by having to serve you. We had a reservation in the restaurant and were told we had to sit down away from restaurant for a while as they were too busy to even talk to us, yet we had a reservation. We then decided to sit outside for our food and had to clear our own table, order our own food and basically bar cook the food, serve it ourselves! Also the fire alarm went off at 1am and woke the hotel twice.

hotel & location great. just need to resolve elements of what I didn't like
Pros:

all of it and the room upgrade

Cons:

They advertised that on when showing the premier league games in the bar, cruz campo was on offer for £4.50. When I ordered a drink, they ran out and offered me a Madri then charged me £7.50. Sorry, but that's a rip off.

Also, the car park next to the hotel costs £24 for 24hrs (overnight stay) with no discount or concession which I thought was poor

Fabulous location on the waterfront. Loved being able to sit outside close to the water in the good weather. Nice staff and we liked the bar area a lot.
