The bed was good, the breakfast was good and plentiful. Generally no issues. Check in was easy.
The shower was a bit grubby.
Easy access to the hotel and the city centre
Saw the ants around the breakfast area, I have told
The staffs about it but they didn’t bothered about it.
Breakfast was chaotic. Not enough tables. Slow refilling hot food.
Location
Food slow coming out at breakfast
Convenient to oyr trip, available, ac
Good brkfst
Nice staff
Tricky to find, google maps was wrong
Friendly reception staff and free parking on site
Bed uncomfortable, requested a double however got two singles pushed together so there was a hard ridge running through the centre. Pillows were like sand bags, and it all seemed very dusty and dirty with a horrible smell coming up from shower plug hole. Also after a poor nights sleep a delivery of beer barrels being banged and rolled around woke us up before 7am! Breakfast was very poor, over cooked hard bacon and no yoghurt, fruit coulis or eggs left, no tables available anywhere even in other areas of reception to sit and eat so was stood around for about 5-10 mins until some kind couple gave us theirs. Would not stay here again!
The door to the ensuite didn't close.
Room 28
The breakfast was not topped up not much left later in the morning to eat
They could of topped up the breakfast hot option
Staff very friendly
Not enough staff no way to get any food in the evening a 20 min wait just to order and no free tables. Similar expert at breakfast- staff doing their best but not enough staff for a busy hotel
Room very nice and the staff were lovely
It's a bit far from town but there is a Greggs and a Co Op not to far.
A gem in a quiet area. Very affordable.
excellent breakfast
nothing to dislike
Location for Croud Meadow
Breakfast wasnt kept topped up, was allowed to run low meaning having to wait for fresh
- friendly members of staff at reception (experienced a slow check-in due to new system, but the staff were sympathetic and offered a free welcome drink)
- good location
- fast WiFi
- big car park
- Aircon (noisy and in over 30 degrees heat, it doesn't produce cold enough air)
- the place looks tired and in need of refurbishment; for a well-known brand, the cost per night is expensive and doesn't seem to justify
- understaffed: there were a few times when there was no member of staff to serve at the reception and people had to wait for a while before one person turned up, it was discouraging to ask for help
- faulty socket/ TV: issue with turning on the TV, had to un-plug and re-plug to turn on
- lack of consistency in housekeeping standards: all beds were made etc, but the day before check out, my bed was made in a haste (duvet left in a rumple) and it doesn't give a good experience
- the water rises whenever taking a shower: flagged the possibility of clogged plughole, it still wasn't fixed and water continues to rise whenever we took a shower
- the breakfast was mediocre- expected better for the price we've paid (and considering this is a big-branded hotel)
