We liked everything and after we ate there on our first evening we liked it even more. I don’t normally enjoy a buffet but at The Raintree the quality and taste of the food was excellent.

The staff were excellent, friendly and extremely helpful from assisting to book an Uber to putting on a Saree, thank you Jayashri for assisting with this and make the short video. 🥰
The property is very comfortable and the breakfast buffet excellent with a variety of both Indian and western menu on offer. Rooms are very comfortable and cleaned daily as requested. Two restaurants on site give options for buffet style meal or A la carte dinning on the roof top. Highly recommend staying at The Raintree.

Clean and comfortable room
The room was small but comfortable. The food at the 3 restaurants was excellent. Akiffa at the Colony was the only staff who went out of her way to please us.
The staff, except for Akiffa, did not go the extra mile to help. Eg when asked for the hotel car to go to hospital around midnight as an emergency, for specific food, was told that we cannot order a la carte on first night at Colony.

I had a wonderful stay at The Raintree, the hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. What really made the experience special was the exceptional buffet breakfast, rooftop view and service from the staff—especially Sumit and Sunita, who went above and beyond to help me plan my travel to Pondicherry. Their kindness, efficiency, and genuine care made my stay truly memorable, especially when I was not feeling so well. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
