Very well placed hotel, in front of the ocean, in the middle of the bay.
It has lots of different services embedded in it (laundry service, 2 restaurants, a supermarket, pool, gym).
The supermarket, accessible directly from the hotel is super convenient: you will find souvenirs, daily supplies, and lots of fresh exotic fruit. Here you can also buy a coconut to bring on the beach and drink while you're watching the sunset.
There is also a street crossing nearby, to access the beach and relax on the fine sand of Sanya bay.
The staff is very kind and available, and even though they just speak Chinese, they are equipped with instantaneous translators to make your life easier. In the lobby, there's free ice lemon tea.
The area is generally very lively, and there will be plenty of eating options, if you're willing to blend with the locals and enter in any of the nearby Chinese restaurants.
For very short stays, don't count on the laundry service, as the "same day service" is not super reliable.
For some, the neighbourhood might be a bit too lively, and on the crowded side. As it is the local culture, to us, seeing people dance and hearing them sing from 8am until late evening wasn't a problem.
As most of the foreigners visiting the area are Russians-speaking people, most of the locals will frequently try to interact with you in Chinese or Russian.
Compared to the pictures, the Shengyi hotel is being drawfed by lots of new constructions going on and already-completed high-rise buildings by the sea, so it might be slightly difficult to recognize the hotel from the outside if you didnt pay attention upon leaving.

Отель расположен возле набережной, на которой утром с 7-30 до 12 и вечером с 17 до 21 китайские пенсионеры радуются жизни под громкую музыку - через каждые 10-15 метров кто-то танцует, кто-то поет, кто-то играет на музыкальных инструментах. Все эти звуки сливаются в адскую какофонию, и закрытые двери на балкон не сильно помогают. Удивительный дизайн номера - с отсутствующей стеной между зоной санузла и остальной комнатой, и при этом стеклянными дверями в душ и туалет - будьте готовы к минимальной приватности.
Wonderful hotel. As normal for hotels in Sanya the beach is right across the road. Close to all interesting places of the city.
Clean room. Excellent breakfast, the waffles were fantastic.
The bed was too hard.
Хорошее расположение, бассейн недалеко от моря, можно бегать купаться через дорогу. Убирались хорошо, меняли полотенца каждый день, ставили воду. Чудесный вид на море.
В номере на третьей кровати был очень тонкий и жесткий матрас, по сути ребенок спал на досках. Это самый большой минус. Номер был двухкомнатный, но двери не было между ними. Также не было двери в зоне умывальника и второго туалета. Это доставляло небольшой дискомфорт.
На улице было шумно, но нас не напрягало. Кондиционер в номере тоже был шумноват.
Preisgünstiges Hotel in zentraler Lage.
Hinter und neben dem Hotel sind riesige laute Baustellen. Vermutlich wird es das Hotel nicht mehr allzu lange geben, es stört die Baupläne für das Areal. Daher wird im und am Hotel auf Verschleiß gefahren, vieles ist inzwischen abgewohnt und wird kaum noch repariert. An der Uferpromenade überbieten sich die chinesischen Musikboxen mit ihrer Lautstärke, man fühlt sich an einen Rummelbesuch erinnert. Relativ ruhig ist es nur ab ca. 21:30 abends. Essen im Hotel ist recht gut aber für chinesische Verhältnisse auch recht teuer.
An der Rezeption spricht niemand englisch, Verständigung läuft nur über Sprach-Apps.
Location is great. Not many tourists and good for quiet family vacation.
Великолепный отель. Очень приветливый персонал, помогают с доставкой, с вызовом такси, во всех нюансах. Очень понравилось расположение, дружелюбно тьфу. И вообще все круто!!!
Стройка за окном
Местоположение, очень мягкие полотенца.
Шла стройка и днём и ночью, невозможно было спать вообще ни ночью с открытым балконом ни днём отдыхать. Полный недосып на период всего отпуска. Сам отель на твердую 3*. Ни о каких 5* и речи не идет. За 8 ночей постельное белье поменяли только два раза. Не всегда докладывали кофе в пакетиках. Туалетная бумага самая дешевая. В ванной затычка не работала. Отель и номера очень старые, видно что ремонта никогда не было. Вода в унитазе стоит до половины, то есть всем всегда понятно зачем ты туда пошел, то есть слышимость в этом плане идеальная) Слышимость касается и номеров. Жители соседнего номера кричали и смеялись каждую ночь до 3х утра. Слышно было каждое слово. Чашки не мылись, надо самим. Завтрак отвратительный. Советую не ходить, а поесть на улице. И дешевле и сытнее. Еда ужасно невкусная и в малом ассортименте. На втором этаже в ресторане ели креветок. На столе не было салфеток, попросили, дали, но включили их стоимость в счет. Нонсенс. Еда была снова невкусная. Хоть и дорогая. Полностью отказались от питания в этом отеле. По сути, за небольшие деньги мы получили твёрдые 3*. Но сам отель же 5*… Советую не экономить на отеле и взять другой.

Расположение хорошее. За свои деньги -норм, уровень 3 звезды.
Отель очень уставший, уборка номера(не вынос мусора и смена полотенец), постели только после чаевых. Самое неприятное, что при заселении сказали: забронированного нами номера нет, но нам якобы дадут номер лучше, в обмен на высокий отзыв работы данного менеджера. По факту номер получили чудовищный: нет совсем приватности: ванная у кровати, здесь же раковина и никаких ограждений совсем. На кровати вместо матраса фанерка, не помогло даже доп одеяло для создания мягкости. На обращения в чате отеля реакции ноль. Был вечер, мы с дороги устали, не пошли искать правды. В итоге только на след день обратились на ресепшен с просьбой предоставить забронированный номер. Номер предоставили (матрас на кровати жесткий, но не фанерка). Полотенца у бассейна ужасные-дырка на дырке. На завтраке столы не убирают, только грязную посуду(скатерти и салфетки грязные, подставочные салфетки после посетителя остаются на столе с остатками трапезы ждать след гостя).
