The front desk staff of Mike and Charlie were outstanding before and during out stay. Mike was great over the phone in handling our reservation, and both Mike and Charlie went above and beyond in handling a needed room swap to make our trip and experience to the resort a memorable one. Thanks, Mike and Charlie, we appreciate everything you did for us!
Mike at the reservations desk went the extra mile to help us find lodging at Canoa Ranch. Early April is peak season in southern Arizona.
We felt like he had our back, We were able to stay in what was the last available room within the Green Yalley area, and at Canoa Ranch Resort. Excellent accommodations, many rooms with beautiful views.
Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice and the property is easy to get to from the interstate.
Property is seriously in need of a major refurbishing. The bathroom smelled musty. The massive A/C unit in the room was extremely loud which turned out to be good because it drowned out the neighbors whose every word we could hear through the thin walls. Breakfast was OK but the breakfast staff were curt and unfriendly. The pancakes were lukewarm and seemed to be mass-produced like Jimmy Dean.
We stay here often for golf tournaments and this place never disappoints. They have a really welcoming and friendly staff that always takes great care of us, beautifully appointed and immaculate rooms, impecably manicured, scenic grounds and a pool that I find myself missing every time we leave. Mike was efficient and very helpful at check-in, 30 of us in our group all showed up at once and he was so organized we were done in no time and off to the pool. Great job Mike!!

I liked the location; was far enough from interstate to not hear trucks and traffic.
Staff was welcoming and friendly.
Some of the bath cabinets needed replacing; the wood was very scuffed in placed. Faucet handles did not work as well as they should have.
We booked this stay thinking it would be a special family trip, and it turned into one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
The room we were given was nothing like what was advertised. Instead of a peaceful balcony with a view, we were placed in a ground-level room facing the parking lot. It was loud, chaotic, and felt incredibly unsafe—people were walking right past our sliding door, cars pulling up feet from our room, alarms going off, and zero privacy.
Traveling with a small child, this was completely unacceptable. It did not feel secure at all.
When we calmly brought this up to the front desk, the employee (Mike) responded by yelling at us, refusing to help, and saying there was nothing he would do. We were shocked at how aggressive and dismissive he was, especially when we were expressing legitimate safety concerns.
We called the manager and left a voicemail no response. No follow-up. Nothing.
At that point, we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome that we ended up leaving entirely and were not even offered a refund.
This is not a “resort” in any sense of the word. It’s mediocre at best, misleading at worst. The amenities do not justify the price, the rooms do not match the photos, and the customer service is unbelievably hostile.
I have never experienced this level of rudeness or disregard at a hotel before.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This ruined our vacation
