Superb hotel and staff in Shanghai
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area yet with plenty of nearby restaurants and easy metro access. Superb breakfast and very kind staff. We would love to return.

Charming hotel in Shanghai
Pros:

Nice, charming hotel in the colonial style building within the french concession area. Our room was huge even for our family of 4 and the beds very comfortable. The room was very clean and the bathroom had a large bathtub which our small kids have appreciated at the end of the day. Within short walking distance there are many shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.

Cons:

We found the staff not super friendly as we could not get answers to simple questions like where we could do laundry as it is uneconomical to use hotel services to pay per every single piece for a family of 4.

Grand, charming and luxury.
Pros:

Very trendy old school vibe and grand style. Room was very beautiful. Location is excellent, French Concession Shanghai is an unbelievably beautiful area.

Cons:

Swimming pool was in a separate building across the road, not that inconvenient to be honest but personally not ideal. If you have a room in that part of the hotel I guess it’s good.

Все было отлично, наше проживание было комфортным и запоминающимся!
Pros:

Очень красивый и уютный отель в самом сердце Шанхая, расположен в районе бывшей французской концессии, в окружении красивых улиц, ресторанов, кафе и магазинчиков! Отель выделяется своей благородной архитектурой, удобные номера, персонал внимателен и доброжелателен! Хотелось бы вернуться сюда снова!

A delightful hotel!
Pros:

The hotel is in a lively central area, very near a large mall and a metro stop. The metro stop made it easy to visit most of the main attractions in Shanghai. The hotel itself is a splendid building, with marble floors and mahogany paneling in the rooms and along the corridors. The room was great and very well equipped.
The staff is very polite and professional and willing to help. The breakfast offers a variety of foods to choose from, both oriental and western. I would gladly stay here again!
