Nice golf resort with full leisure facilities
Pros:

The leisure facilities are great and the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Cons:

Although it partially suited my needs, the hotel is not centrally located so you are a little detached from everything else.
My room was quite remote from the central area of the hotel and shopping quite a rabbits warren of hallways.

Cons:

We had 3 flights of stairs up to our room. Beds were extremely hard, I think the mattresses could do with being replaced.

Noisy. Smelly. Unfriendly receptionist.
Pros:

Swimming pool was warm. Kids enjoyed the pool.

Cons:

Lady on reception was rude.
Room is not cleaned unless you ask at reception. There is no notice to put on the door and information was not provided at check in to ask at reception if you want room cleaned. The room facilities i.e toilet roll, cups, glasses etc... ran out. Asked twice at reception for replenish. Waited over 2 hours for the items and that was by going back to reception again to ask. The lady on reception said we had to get the cups ourselves from the restaurant.
Room was hot. Stains on most areas including lamp shades, curtains.
The plug in the bath tub kept gurgling loudly during the night omitting an awful smell from it.
Food was limited and did not taste very nice.

Pool was great, beautiful setting, needs some tlc before it becomes bad value.
Pros:

Pool facilities and generally the building, like outside is beautiful

Cons:

Its need some love. Toilets barely flush, wallpaper and curtains have holes. It really just needs some money spending in the rooms

Great location & staff but rooms are very tired!
Pros:

Good location and grounds. Very helpful, and pleasant front desk staff.

Cons:

Room decor is very tired. No bed valance just tatty divan. Stained carpet, holes in curtain lining letting in light. Overly warm and no air con and could only partially open the window so got little sleep.

Could have been great but average at best
Pros:

Super pool - really nice size although it got busy. Good sauna, grounds are lovely and the old build has bags of character.

Cons:

The staff were unhelpful and inexperienced. Felt like the management had given up supporting them. We couldn’t get our room made up because of staff shortages, you have to book it!! The restaurant was expensive and very little care taken from waiting staff - again we were told to wait for drinks because it was busy. Wine eventually arrived and was plonked in the table while the waitress skittered off to serve other people’s dinner.

Common areas feel dated, single room was tiny with a view of air con units! We asked for our two rooms to be close together and then were placed literally at opposite ends of the hotel. Just really poor at making us feel welcome when we had spent a lot of money on staying there.
