Poor and not value for money.

This is - in principle - a 5 star hotel with great facilities….

Cons:

…. But actually it has 2 star service standards and caters for economy coach parties. The food is appalling and expensive, the facilities are tired and in need of renewal. We were sent to an unmade up room, had to book our breakfast times for our entire stay at check in and the place is understaffed. Those that are there are very young - albeit some do try hard to help. But overall, the hotel just doesn’t work.

Excellent stay, very relaxing.
Pros:

We stayed in a deluxe king size room which was lovely and big. The bathroom was lovely and the bath was really big. The breakfast room was lovely with a great view of the garden. The swimming pool was excellent, the jacuzzi wasn't working which was a shame.

Cons:

The breakfast was basic, we went at 9am and there wasn't much choice. No fruit or pastry's left.
The furniture in the room was very dated, and it was very hot in the room.

Disappointing stay, more lows than highs. Felt bad complaining or asking for extras, looked good from the photos and out
Pros:

The main reception staff were polite and helpful, the location was handy for Norwich and surrounding areas. Golf course was well maintained and in good condition. It was definitely dog friendly and we were made welcome.

Cons:

The hotel and decor felt tired and dated, the room was too warm with condensation inside the double glazing. No steam room or jacuzzi available in the spa and if you wanted a relaxing swim had to go earlier in the day. No daily housekeeping so you had to request fresh cups, extra tea and toilet rolls. The breakfast selection was poor, often dried out and overcooked. Staff in the restaurant were unmotivated and we had to clear tables ourselves. Broken glasses on the outside seating area was left for 3 days before being removed. 2 nights dinner we had to complain the food came out cold.

It relaxing, chill out place to stay
Pros:

This is the second time we have stayed at Sprowston Manor hotel. It is peaceful but close to Norwich. The rooms are of a good size and the swimming pool and spa are great. The staff are all very helpful and the breakfast is good

Cons:

The menu in the restaurant could be more varied and maybe have a specials menu so there is a different meal to choose each night from the regular menu
