Just a basic hotel located closure to airport
Not value for money. Poor maintenance, Bad guest service, not suitable for Vegeterians/Vegans. The infrastructure is aged and feels like low-quality facilities.
Close to a small beach, rooms were large and comfortable.
Asked to resever a table for dinner, was told there were no tables until after 8.30pm, but there were empty tables all evening on the terrace.
Enjoyed our stay at Butterfly Beach hotel. Perfect location set on the beach . Hotel clean and well kept . Most of the staff very friendly and happy to help. Lea on reception very helpful and nothing too much trouble for her. A credit to the hotel. We chose a large sea view room with balcony . Good food choice and very good quality. Only negative not near any restaurants or supermarkets except for a Chinese and mini mart across the road. We fell in love with the place and can’t wait to return .
Barbados hotel prices are relatively high and availability can be difficult in the high season, especially due to the large amounts of air crew that need accommodation on the island each night. We booked one of the adult only pool access ground floor studios. In more fancy places this would be sold as a swim up room. It was very spacious with one of the most comfortable super king beds we’d ever slept in. Lovely private outside seating area with sun beds reserved for your room. We got sun here from noon and being able to dip into the very quiet long lap pool was fantastic. We paid for breakfast and this was basic but well cooked. Just the coffee was a bit ropey. The happy hour rum punch caused some memory loss. We found all the staff to be amazingly friendly. The pool area was lovely and the sea breeze was very welcoming. Thoroughly recommend this lovely south coast property.
Sea front location. Plenty of sunbeds. Lovely restaurant overlooking sea. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms with kitchenette.
Wonderful, helpful staff.
Rooms are a little tired.
Garden view room was in fact a car park view room.
Location was good.
Menu in restaurant was basic with no local specialties or options.
Muy buen trato ..gracias.
Location and the food was good.
No wash clothes in the room.
la taille de la chambre
Le personnel ... une attitude pas trop professionnelle
Location is good with a short walk into Oistens for shops and seafood market.
We first visited Barbados last year and stayed at one of the 4 star multi nationals which was great but we soon realised we needed somewhere where we could alternate a bit of self catering with eating out.
We booked Butterfly Beach Beach after seeing how many people returned year after year and yes we have joined them.
The hotel is not super smart or ultra modern but it is very comfortable clean and friendly with excellent air conditioning 😁. The staff are all very friendly and The Reef restaurant excellent value - very reasonable priced drinks and food.
Only downside is the busy road which made our balcony a bit noisy for relaxing but next year we are treating ourselves to a ground floor swim up pool room - cant wait to return .
Thank you Butterfly Beach for a wonderful holiday.
We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a very angry receptionist, which wasn't the greeting we were expecting, we had to wait an hour and a half until our room was ready, when we eventually got our room key there was no apology or anything. Rooms where clean but in need of an update especially the furniture.
We stayed bed and breakfast, which was ok, always hot and lots of it, the only thing that put us off breakfast was the miserable staff, there was no good morning just asked your room number, there was a couple of ladies that were nice Debra was lovely and a young girl but not sure what her name was, and a older guy, they were all lovely and made time for you, I witnessed one girl being spoken to by a guest and she obviously didn't like what he was saying so she just turned her back on him and walked away, just so rude.
The food in the restaurant was good and the drinks were not to expensive. It was easy to get about the island as bus stop was outside the hotel.
Over all this hotel was ok, but we wouldn't go back. It was the other guest that made our stay good, because it was a small hotel everyone was so friendly.
First time at the hotel and I was impressed. The staff are so kind and helpful.
Tamara in the bar was adorable and always up for a chat.
I’d stay at Butterfly again.
Cato from Housekeeping was also very kind.
