Excellent experience: Bratislava's a gem and Beigli a perfect place to start - and end - the days.
Pros:

Breakfast quite OK, generous helpings and a good variety of dishes (bread, eggs any style...). Nice room, Beigli is a sort of "boutique hotel".
Very welcoming and infomative staff, always attentive to our questions (thank you, Susanna!). Young man in reception extremely helpful in getting us a super-cheap Bolt "taxi" (with a courteous Uzbek gentleman driver) on check-out, taking us to the railway station (NB: not the main train station but "Petržalka") for return to Vienna; also helping us with our luggage to the pick-up point (Hurbanovo námestie), a five minute walk just outside/north of Old town. (This helped a lot, Beigli hotel is on cobblestoned Baštova ulice, a challenge for the wheels of the suitcases...)
Furthermore: Bratislava's a gem, a really super-nice city (big town) to visit! Don't hesitate, you'll find - as we did on this our first stay - people to be very welcoming and friendly, English spoken widely (perhaps more among the younger citizens) and eating & drinking (this is BEER land!) is a discovery not to be missed, while walking around and visiting museums (don't miss the Castle (Hrad) and the Town Museum by the main square: https://muzeumbratislava.sk/en/bratislava-city-museum).

Pros:

Die Lage in der Altstadt in einer Nebenstraße war sehr gut gelegen. Der Innenhof ist im Sommer sehr schön. Es gibt auf Nachfrage Nachlass bei einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus.

Nice location, with the green inner yard.
And quiet although it is in the middle of the old town.
Good breakfast.
Nice and friendly staff.
Cozy little single room.

Cons:

Three small things:
The power sockets are badly placed for charging the mobile while sleeping. (however ask the staff and they might providea double socket).
Limited storage, and surfaces for stuff.
The shower leaks onto the room floor even though the shower door is carerfully closed and shower not directed towards it.
