Arte Hotel

This hotel is in a fantastic location close to all the main sites and with great transport links. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff were amazing - our room looked spotless after they visited. The breakfast was great with a huge selection of items to suit all tastes with plenty of space in the restaurant.

What I appreciated most about the Arte Hotel was its super-helpful front desk staff. They all spoke fluent English; their restaurant recommendations were spot-on. They provided great recommendations on options to get to the National History Museum, which is an out-of-the-way attraction that is also a must-see, and helped to make sure I had a ride back to the hotel. Miro, the friendly owner of the hotel (?), helped arranged for my transportation between the Sofia airport and the hotel. He reached out to me before I left for Bulgaria to verify my flight number and connected me with the driver. The hotel itself is located in the center of the city, well within walking distance to the major museums, the St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the St Sofia Church, at least 3 grocery stores, at least 3 banks and their ATMs, and some of the best restaurants in town. The rooms are quiet, clean, and all have a fridge. The breakfast included a lot of choices. The common areas are decorated with works of Bulgarian artists. I enjoyed my stay and high recommend it!

Well located in central Sofia. Short walk to Vitosha St and Sudilika metro station. Nice safe area.

This is a no frills hotel that is a perfect place to stay while in Sofia. The location is close to many of the notable sites in central Sofia, all within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we want to give a special shout out to Milo who went out of his way to help us.

I think this has been my favorite ever hotel. It was central to everything, I could get lost in the bath and I was able to navigate Sofia. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It is a lovely airy environment. The breakfast was tasty and had lots of choice. My husband enjoyed cooked eggs and bacon, cheese and meat and I enjoyed the cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts and pastries. BUT by far the *best* part of Arte Hotel is the staff. Miroslav, is such a great guy. He told us how to get to places, recommended the BEST places to eat at, he was friendly and so helpful. He even thought to warn us about the distance between the terminals. After check out we were able to leave our luggage, use the facilities and have another coffee before leaving. Blagodaria!

I found the hotel very suitable for my needs as a single business traveler. As previously mentioned in reviews, the beds are very soft, the staff are absolutely fantastic and are always available to help.

The hotel is in a great central location and only a 5 minute from metro which has a direct conne room to airport and all main areas of city.

Good central location, nice room, helpful staff, good value for money. However, the bed was way too soft, so soft we kept rolling into the middle!

This hotel was practically next door to the Serdica ancient Roman complex, so as soon as we had checked in, we went out and roamed among the ruins for awhile. But it's actually a perfect location for all your exploration, walking tours, historic sites, etc.
The breakfasts were served in the little restaurant on the 1st floor, and it included lots of options. The staff were helpful and friendly, including giving me directions to a laundry, holding our luggage for awhile on our leaving day, and other courtesies.
We recommend this hotel, and would stay there again if we ever go to Sofia again.

A very nice hotel and right in the center of Sofia. All sights are in walking distance. A large number of restaurants are nearby.
They staff is very helpful.

Central location, friendly staff. Price was advertise as with breakfast, but, on arrival told it was not included.

The location was excellent as the hotel was just walking distance from many famous tourist spots in Sofia. The wifi in the hotel was strong. Breakfast was good. However, staff at the front desk at the time of our arrival could not offer any recommendation on restaurants upon our inquiry. They should have more training on this area.

The hotel is in the center and convenient to Serdica Metro station and taxis to the airport. The air conditioning was operational in October, but not especially effective. The bed was comfortable. If the windows were open, there was a lot of traffic noise, but when closed, none.

Very centrally located for all the sights and metro. Had a large room and once we'd discovered the extra duvet in the wardrobe a very comfortable bed. Breakfast wax the best buffet I can remember having, superb array of choices.

The location was good, but the room itself was less than desirable. Widows could not be opened because of location of government buildings next door. That might have been nice to know ahead of time, The HVAC was a mess. No cold air, the controls were wired incorrectly. Turn to the high setting and the fan bllew slowly, turned to the lowest setting, and the fan blew harder. The floors might have been vacuumed, but the stains that were present needed more than vacuuming. Overall I don't doubt that someone had:"cleaned' to room, but it had not been maintained.

Breakfast was decent but not over the top. The staff was friendly and willing to allow us to sit in the empty restaurant and charge our phones while we waited to take our later flight out.
