Pros:

Perfect for me and my dog. Chong was very accommodating and gave us a corner room with its own little "deck" near the guest laundry. Lots of space for dog walking (not to mention all the trails and beaches that dogs on leash are allowed). It's an old seaside motel but rooms have been updated and are very clean. On the south side of Fort Bragg just 1/4 mile from Hwy 20, it was quiet and the room was set back from the highway. Walking distance to Rolling Dough Bakery/Coffee open early in the morning. Sadly, the hot tub was closed, but overall Coast Inn was what I expected and good value compared with so many more expensive offerings.

Pros:

They were very nice and accommodating, they checked on us to see how things were, definitely our new honeymoon/anniversary spot. I loved that they weren’t too over crowded, very confident location, the masseuse was great and the front desk lady was a complete delight. 110% recommend!!

Make sure that all your shots are updated
Pros:

The first warning sign should’ve been that they were practically empty on a very busy summer weekend.

The name should represent what it is:

1. Coast
2. Inn
3.Spa

How could you epically fail on all three?!?! Well they are on the east end of the highway, adjacent to the cost.

I read reviews and should head the warnings, but I decided to give them a chance. At check-in, there was a housekeeper that greeted me and said don’t worry, the owner will be back to check you in. I shrugged my shoulders and said OK. They gave me a key to a room, but that wasn’t my room that I reserved. I waited a few hours and they never showed up to check me in. I was waiting in the parking lot and decided that I need to get something to eat so I walked and left my car there. I ended up staying somewhere else because nobody was at the hotel. After the checkout time I received a text message saying that I need to pay for my room that I never checked into. Please, for the love of God do not stay here! Fort Bragg and Mendocino have tons of small unique places to stay. I hope this one gets passed on to another Owner.

Pros:

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly, however the property is pretty run down. Walls are paper thin and everything was loud. I would recommend they install fans and something for air circulation so that you can keep the window closed and provide some background noise to drum out the rest of the guests!

Not happy
Pros:

Was a nice room but not happy with the cleanliness and black widows

Cons:

We spent $330 on a room with a spa tub inside and there were black widows all over the room. We were not able to use the spa tub due to black widows around the tub and the tub had spiders coming out of it. My boyfriend had a black widow climb on him in the bed and we didn’t even want to spend the night but it was already 10pm and we have a small 5 year old child. I am highly disappointed in the room, money spent and booking.com for not getting back to me on this issue. This is a BIG safety concern and I am very not happy with this place…

Look elsewhere
Pros:

I booked 3 night stay.....non refundable. I left after the second night and went elsewhere. I "ate" the cost.
The site is "tired" and seen better days. No maid service even after I requested. In the middle of the second day some asked me if I needed anything.......I was packing up to leave.
