Staff was friendly, but for the price the room could have been better.

Close to the event we were seeing

Cons:

They closed the bistro food service for the night due to staff attending the event. Every time the air conditioning came on in the room it sounded like a freight train was passing by until it shut off.

I've been meaning to write this review for awhile since my stay from 11/30/25 to 12/3/2025.

Above Expectations Experience

April and Brian truly made my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott St. Petersburg Downtown exceptional. From the moment I arrived, their service was outstanding—professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming.

They were incredibly helpful with every request, always respectful, and took the time to engage in great conversations that made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile clearly reflect pride in their work and in the hotel.

Because of April and Brian, this stay exceeded expectations, and they are a big reason I would gladly return and recommend this property to others.

Mostly great team
Pros:

Here for work and I have had a great valet experience. Hunter and Heather are great and provide prompt, exceptional service. As well as max and Alex, they were great valet men as well. Now one valet boy Key is polite but takes a long time and you can hardly hear when he speaks, and he drives a bit fast. Was a little nervous sending my car back with him…
The front desk girls are awesome and the indoor gym pool and gym are a solid touch. Thanks team.

Great place in Saint Pete
Pros:

Heather and max are such fun and energetic group in the evening. They assisted with luggage, open/close all doors in sight for you, bring the luggage upstairs and unload it. I dropped $100 out of my pocket and Heather was honest and let me know instead of not saying anything which we appreciated so much. They have some great recommendations, smile a lot, and just overall very personable kids.
Max at the front desk is also SUPER nice and answers all questions promptly . We really appreciate you all!
The bistro is delicious and we are just please.
The location is great with tons of restaurants, shops, bars, wineries, clubs, breweries all nearby. Close to the Pier which is GORGEOUS.
We will be back!

I expected more for these prices
Pros:

The hotel experience wasn't the best...locked out of my room twice, wi-fi instructions were wrong and hotel staff didn't seem to care when someone in my party fell in coming out of the lobby. No concern at all. Restaurant was very expensive for what it was. The bright spot was April and Brian on the valet team. They were professional, resourceful and kind. They should be teaching customer service to the leadership team of the hotel staff in my opinion. Valet team gets an A+
