Brian, Max and April in Valet at Courtyard Downtown St Pete were fantastic! Very responsive. We appreciated them so much.
Great valet staff. Brian, Sebastian, April and Nick can all be commended highly.
Clean, good mattress.
Poor value.
I would like to thank April and Brain, the valet team, for their punctuality in returning my car and for greeting me with a pleasant smile.
April was fabulous so helpful. Valet.
April and Brian provided excellent valet service!
Great experience. Valet exceptional with Brian, Jayson, April! Friendly staff, great clean room and great location-thank you!
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and the valet is always helpful, nice and professional. Carter was fantastic in making sure I was helped efficiently and was very friendly and professional. Always my go-to spot when I come to St. Pete.
Stayed here in March 2026. I'd like to give a big shout out to Jayson with the valet. I drive a big truck for work and Jayson really went above and beyond to accommodate. If I had known the parking situation before booking I might have booked somewhere else but Jayson made it smooth sailing.
Carter was awesome. Very polite and helped us with our luggage when we checked in to the hotel. The couple of times we left the hotel and needed the car, he had it ready for us.
It wasn't just us. He was helpful to everyyone.
It was nice knowing the car was safe and we could get to it anytime we needed it on a prompt basis
All staff was very friendly and helpful with our toddler and baby. Valet staff was also great, specifically Carter who helped with multiple trips during the same day
Thank you to April in the valet for wonderful service!
This property is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand.
I booked one night here for my in-laws due to an emergency, and their experience was a nightmare. They are extremely loyal to Marriott and have held Ambassador Elite status for as long as I’ve known them. They both said this is the worst Marriott property they have ever stayed at.
The central AC is not working in most of the rooms. Instead, you’re given a portable AC unit in the room. These units are exactly as noisy and disruptive as you would expect.
And here’s the best part: the portable AC is vented through the window. Yes, that means your window is left open all night in the middle of Downtown St. Petersburg. Humidity is a problem as will outside noise.
I’ve lived in St Pete for 13 years. Downtown is always lively, both from nightlife and traffic. This property sits on 4th st, one of the main roads in the city. At 3:00 a.m., there will still be traffic.
If this were a roadside motel charging by the hour, maybe this situation would make sense. But this is a Marriott. If a room isn’t up to Marriott standards, it shouldn’t be offered for booking.
I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but at $394 per night, this one felt necessary.
If management is willing to offer rooms in this condition without any warning or proactive accountability, it raises serious doubts about how they handle other issues guests might encounter. I’m sure the staff are doing their best and are probably very kind, but there is simply no excuse for offering a room like this for sale.
Close to the event we were seeing
They closed the bistro food service for the night due to staff attending the event. Every time the air conditioning came on in the room it sounded like a freight train was passing by until it shut off.
Alex and April at the valet are the bright spots at this hotel. They were kind and attentive and always took good care of my car. Other than that, this hotel was a disaster and I will not be returning. When I checked in, I was given the ada room. They did not mention this at the reception and I booked a regular room but I thought nothing of it. Only to realize that the toilet was clogged. The reception would not move me to another room or fix the clogged toilet. They said I should come down 3 flights of stairs if I had to go to the lobby restroom in the middle of the night. Later they were able to fix the toilet only to have it clog again the next day. Also there was no housekeeping service to make the bed or provide new towels.
Alex, Max, Dylan, Brian, and April were all superb valet attendants- incredibly friendly, nice, and helpful!
We were met by Carter, our valet, who was extremely helpful and courteous.
Nice room, great service.
