Alex and Max (the valet) made the trip special. Best valet in the city!

I've been meaning to write this review for awhile since my stay from 11/30/25 to 12/3/2025.

Above Expectations Experience

April and Brian truly made my stay at the Courtyard by Marriott St. Petersburg Downtown exceptional. From the moment I arrived, their service was outstanding—professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming.

They were incredibly helpful with every request, always respectful, and took the time to engage in great conversations that made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile clearly reflect pride in their work and in the hotel.

Because of April and Brian, this stay exceeded expectations, and they are a big reason I would gladly return and recommend this property to others.

The property and location was great. The staff is amazing, shout out to Max, April, Brian & Alex who went above and beyond every day to make our stay great. Thank you all for the excellent stay.

April is an amazing valet! She greeted me with a smile and positive attitude. Very friendly and helpful.

Here for work and I have had a great valet experience. Hunter and Heather are great and provide prompt, exceptional service. As well as max and Alex, they were great valet men as well. Now one valet boy Key is polite but takes a long time and you can hardly hear when he speaks, and he drives a bit fast. Was a little nervous sending my car back with him…
The front desk girls are awesome and the indoor gym pool and gym are a solid touch. Thanks team.

The room was clean and well maintained.

Location

The staff is fantastic, from the excellent, efficient and helpful valet team to the front desk to the coffee bar star. Great team.

The service was amazing. Valet service was always on time and always friendly. April and Brain were both friendly and on time. Best service I’ve had while traveling for work or personal!

Heather and max are such fun and energetic group in the evening. They assisted with luggage, open/close all doors in sight for you, bring the luggage upstairs and unload it. I dropped $100 out of my pocket and Heather was honest and let me know instead of not saying anything which we appreciated so much. They have some great recommendations, smile a lot, and just overall very personable kids.
Max at the front desk is also SUPER nice and answers all questions promptly . We really appreciate you all!
The bistro is delicious and we are just please.
The location is great with tons of restaurants, shops, bars, wineries, clubs, breweries all nearby. Close to the Pier which is GORGEOUS.
We will be back!

April was an amazing help , and very professional. She was an amazing valet and a delightful person . She is definitely on her game and make you feel important

The hotel experience wasn't the best...locked out of my room twice, wi-fi instructions were wrong and hotel staff didn't seem to care when someone in my party fell in coming out of the lobby. No concern at all. Restaurant was very expensive for what it was. The bright spot was April and Brian on the valet team. They were professional, resourceful and kind. They should be teaching customer service to the leadership team of the hotel staff in my opinion. Valet team gets an A+

Consistency

Great location, comfortable stay. Anthony with the Valet was very helpful, along with all the staff! Would love to stay again.

Wanted to keep myself anonymous as negative reviews sometimes make people upset.
The valet kid, whose name I was told is “Key” is very unprofessional. He says he’s going to get your car and disappears for a while, or you come out and he’s sitting on the curb, or when you come out to ask for the car and he’s not at their desk or anywhere in sight to retrieve him for assistance. He speaks really too low to understand and you have to say “what” multiple times. I’m not a person to leave reviews, good OR bad.
Thanks to Luis the night guy for being so polite without even knowing a bad experience had happened previously, which is how you can tell he is just polite in general, not just to make you feel better. Meeting Heather this morning, she is wonderful as well. We WILL return but we hope the kid from the afternoon shift can get some additional training or supervision to whip him into shape because at this rate, I’m sure he’s going to cost you reviews, business and loyal customers. The inside staff are lovely, and Heather and Luis. We didn’t meet any others but I have high hopes that they’re wonderful as well. We will not let one bad apple spoil the bunch. Also, very nice and clean kept place. Thanks Courtyard!

Brian, April and Luis have been great. Wonderful service, sweet smiles and great recommendations of things to do. Would recommend this to all my family and friends.

I was here on a golfing trip. April assisted me with my luggage. I just wanted to tell her thank you very much for treating us with kindness and respect..April showed us multiple locations to go eat. We were really impressed with the wine place. She sent us to as well as local restaurants.April keep up the great work you are definitely one of a kind you have pulled high standards with evolution and courtyard Marriott. We appreciate you. We thank you for all your help and we will return and we sure hope to see your smiley face.. What struck us the most about April is not only the way she treated us but also the way she greeted us upon our arrival. Amazing job, April..
