Courtyard by Marriott Harrisburg West/Mechanicsburg

This hotel has charged us a $250 smoking fee stating that our room had an overwhelming odor of cigarette smoke, and this is impossible! The only cigarette smoke odor could only have been from the lingering smell from our clothing, which is common with smoker who stays in this large hotel! They are basing the charge on the fact that after outing my cigarettes outside, I placed the butts in my pocket. I do this no matter where I am because I have seen too many trash cans or outing posts smoking or literally on fire! The butts contained no tobacco in them as I flick the cherry and all remaining tobacco out of them before placing them in my pocket. I have repeatedly asked them to review their video footage that clearly shows me placing the cigarette butts in my pocket but have received no update to the matter! I don't even smoke in my own home, I would never smoke in a hotel or any other non-smoking area! This is a greedy money grab and a disgusting business practice!!

We stayed here for Valentine’s Day and checked in around 6 p.m. We chose this hotel for the lobby bar, indoor heated pool, and hot tub, but unfortunately the bar was already closed and appeared to have been shut down for hours. The front desk explained it was due to staffing, which would have been helpful to know at check-in—especially on a holiday.
We were told the third floor had newly renovated rooms, which we chose. The room was beautiful, very clean, and the hotel was quiet overall. The shower had good water pressure. However, the TV placement was awkward, and the screen would discolor if left on one channel for too long.
Overall, a clean and peaceful stay, but clearer communication about amenity availability would greatly improve the experience.

I just checked into this hotel this afternoon. It is very nice. My room is clean and well furnished and has a small refrigerator and microwave. I have ambassador status, which was recognized immediately upon my arrival. The gentleman that checked me in was pleasant and professional and very welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and the location is just off of Rt. 15, which is very convenient if traveling to or in the vicinity of Harrisburg for work. The price of this hotel is very reasonable and much more reasonable than the hotels in Harrisburg. This hotel is a great choice.

Recently stayed here as my house was getting some work done.
The check-in process was incredibly easy. The front desk greeted us in a friendly manner and all the staff said hi throughout our stay, making us feel welcome.
The hotel itself has a very nice, modern appearance, both in the lobby and throughout the property. They have a starbucks, some food, and a bar, so that was a bonus! Also, has a pool and a gym, which we didn't utilize.
I was highly impressed with the accommodation; my room was spotlessly clean and well-maintained.
I would highly recommend this Courtyard location and look forward to staying here again!

The hotel's location is excellent-convenient to restaurants, shopping and major highways, making it easy to get around the area. The property was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Came on business and with my family and it was the right balance for all. I had a great stay, I came for the full week in late October. I was working during the week and had all the right accommodations. Wifi perfect, breakfast is great, crisp, good service and consistent. Staff friendly and smiley to start the day. So I went down at 6 AM each day to eat and my Family visited later and kids got everything they needed, they loved getting scrambled eggs. Hotel is clean and spacious. Pool and gym is great! Family can't wait to go back. This hotel is 10 mins from Harrisburg, 30 mins from Hershey, 2 hours from Philly.

Lobby

Room was very clean and bathroom very well stocked. Requested coffee creamer at front desk and was met getting off elevator by room service with coffee creamer. Very fast and courteus service by all staff. Will definitely stay again when visiting the mechanics pa area.

This place was terrible from the beginning. Difficult to find. Room was dirty and lighting was either burned out or inadequate. TV could not be seen from the bed. Remote did not work, as well as the thermostat. Bathroom had dirt in the corners of the floor and terribly outdated
