Of all the five-star hotels I have ever stayed in, this one is by far the best. From the moment I arrived, the level of service was exceptional. The staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely attentive without ever being intrusive. What impressed me most was that you never have to ask for help — simply looking around is enough, and someone is immediately there to assist you.
The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, and every detail is handled with care and professionalism. This hotel truly sets a new standard for five-star hospitality, and I would not hesitate to return.
I often attend Pilates and stretching classes, and “Super Stretching with Ravi” was a wonderful experience. The new poses and exercises significantly improved how I felt. Thank you to the instructor for such a professional and enjoyable class.
My family and I had an absolutely delightful stay at Ritz Sharq Village & Spa! The property is incredibly spacious, and our suite was beautifully appointed, feeling both luxurious and comfortable. We were welcomed with a generous array of treats, cakes, and drinks—a truly pleasant surprise that set the tone for our stay.
The lighting in the suite created a cozy, mood-lit atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, though a few brighter options would have been helpful when getting ready as the overall lighting felt quite dark. Similarly, adding a chair in the dressing area could make it even more convenient. The bathroom was exceptionally spacious, featuring a stunning bath and luxurious Diptyque toiletries. While the shower pressure could be stronger and not all jets were fully functional, these are minor points in an otherwise outstanding suite experience.
The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas, adding a festive and cheerful ambiance. Dining on the half-board plan was excellent. The buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, flavorful dishes, and the staff were consistently attentive and welcoming—from opening doors to serving with a smile, they made us feel truly valued throughout our stay.
Overall, Ritz Sharq Village & Spa is a beautifully decorated, serene retreat with impeccable service. We felt genuinely pampered and at home, and we will certainly be returning. This property is the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and hospitality!
I joined a Super Stretch class with Ravi and really enjoyed the calm, attentive atmosphere. The exercises were gentle yet effective, and I felt much more relaxed and open afterwards. Ravi explains everything clearly and creates a very supportive space during the class.
My family and I stayed in 2 hotels. The classical Ritz Sharq and the ultra modern Fairmont at Katara Towers.
This review will concentrate on the Ritz and I will do a separate one for the Fairmont.
We were welcomed warmly to the Ritz hotel by all staff, especially those at front desk Aneesa and Guest experience Agustina who is fabulous! What was also very impressive was that staff that were always available to open our car doors and lobby doors. This is the epitome of a 5-Star hotel. Jon in particular was very impressive and always so helpful and professional. He brought our luggage promptly and the next day took us on a short tour to see all the hotels facilities which was very helpful.
At the Ritz we stayed in a 2 - Bedroom Suite. The Suite itself was large, opulent and the bathroom was definitely the highlight. It was huge with a very beautiful bath with Dipytique toiletries. The bath also filled and unfilled very quickly which is very important. We were celebrating some special anniversaries, marriages, successes and the Ritz were really lovely in recognising those with cakes and balloons and made us feel special! Housekeeping were particularly impressive and always available to clean the room and for someone who is ultra tidy and clean this was very much appreciated
There are a few areas the Suite could have been improved, especially given it's huge size. Some of these are easy fixes and would enhance the experience. The whole Suite needs more lighting. I understand the low lighting that was installed when the hotel was created for a zen ambience and this can still be kept. But on a separate panel the should be extra bright lighting which is essential for getting ready and putting on makeup. There need to be more mirrors everywhere. There is plenty of space for them and in the second bedroom, it desperately needs a full size mirror. That bedroom also needs a safe of it's own. In the bathroom there is a lovely area where you can put your makeup etc to get ready but no chair. The shower pressure was not great and all the jets were not working. Please do not take these as criticisms, as the Suite on the whole is lovely, but it would be outstanding with a few improvements.
The beach is small, but with some very nice staff and the pools were lovely too. We only used them once as the weather was warm but not hot enough!
The main restaurant where breakfast was served was very inviting and the breakfast buffet and eggs ordered from the menu were delicious. There was a great spread of varied food and something for everyone. We had half board and the buffet both at lunch at dinner was outstanding. It included soft drinks and fresh juices.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Ritz Sharq and the staff make you feel like you are coming home which is a lovely feeling!
Our stay at Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel was nothing short of exceptional—warm, immersive, and deeply personal.
From the very first moment, the concierge team at the main entrance set the tone with grace and efficiency. Lily’s welcoming smile made us feel instantly at home, followed by a seamless check-in experience. A special mention must go to Ms. Rail Lukas, who escorted us to our rooms with care and surprised us with a big jar of Arabic coffee mix powder—an incredibly thoughtful and generous gesture that truly touched us.
Mr. Raju, who handled our luggage, did so with warmth and professionalism, making the arrival experience smooth and pleasant.
Dinner was made special thanks to Chef Mett, who arranged a comforting and delicious Indian meal. The dal and rice were outstanding—simple, soulful, and prepared with heart. The teams at both the Dinner and Breakfast restaurants were attentive, warm, and consistent in service.
A beautiful cultural highlight was the evening ceremony on 7th January, where the Guest Services in-charge from Russia, dressed in traditional attire, added charm and elegance to the experience.
Our time at the beach was equally memorable. The lifeguards who took us kayaking were professional and reassuring, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. The pool bar and lounge team thoughtfully arranged pizza right at the beach, while another team member ensured we were well taken care of with water and SPF—small details that made a big difference.
Housekeeping maintained immaculate rooms throughout our stay, reflecting the Ritz-Carlton commitment to excellence.
The Spa experience deserves special recognition. Mr. Vency Fernandes is an absolute gentleman—professional, calm, and incredibly warm. His presence alone elevates the spa experience and deserves special appreciation.
And finally, a heartfelt mention to Mr. Ben, the security team member from Kenya. Our conversation with him at the beach was delightful—what a wonderful human being and a true ambassador of hospitality.
I may have missed a few names, but every team member—seen and unseen—contributed to making this stay truly special. Special thanks as well to Ms. Imane Barcouch for her caring outreach and leadership.

I went for the New Year, a solo trip! The hotel was amazing, beautiful and very aesthetic! I went to their restaurants, spa, gym, pool area, beach etc… all staff were friendly and took their time to talk to me and nothing was too much trouble. A shout out to all staff, you do the hotel proud. Also, Sahadat, my housekeeper… room 505, great man, kept my room clean and always stocked. I’ll be back soon and thank you for making me feel welcome xx
We had a great time at this hotel , we stayed for one week , the hotel was very clean and tidy, considering the place it’s very close to the airport which it’s very convenient , also it’s close to many places which you could just go by walking(can be a little noisy for some people , the planes and helicopters ).The staff are very professional , helpful and friendly, we will like to mention Sahadat who took care of our villa and did a fantastic job every day , also the guys by the pool are very helpful and took good care of us , the only minus I will like to mention it’s the New Year’s party , we attended last year the new year party in the Ritz Carlton Doha and for the same price you get so much in terms of food variety, atmosphere, service, the whole experience was great , this year we decided to try the Sharq Village and was not close at all, the buffet was poor in quality and choices, the atmosphere was not festive and feel boring sometimes, so in general it’s a great place to stay but they could improve the food in general.
The service was extremely good, from the receptionists, who were extremely friendly, to the restaurant staff and housekeeping. The food was amazing, very clean and hygienic. The rooms were legendary. We tried the spa, and that was the best experience my wife and I have ever had. We definitely recommend this hotel if you visit Doha. Plus, it is in the perfect location, close to both the airport and the downtown area.
Our stay at Sharq Village, Ritz-Carlton Doha was, without exaggeration, the best vacation I have ever experienced. While the hotel itself is beautiful, what truly made this stay exceptional was the Guest Relations Team, whose care, professionalism, and genuine kindness transformed our visit into something deeply personal and unforgettable.
I organised this trip as part of my mother’s recovery from cancer. Prior to arrival, Guest Relations reached out by email, and I shared the reason for our stay. When we arrived, my mother was welcomed with flowers, balloons, and a cake - all in pink, the colour symbolising cancer survivorship. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that left her completely overwhelmed and emotional. She had not expected anything special, let alone something so meaningful and heartfelt.
From that moment on, everything exceeded our expectations.
The property itself is stunning: beautiful architecture, excellent restaurants, serene pools, and a peaceful waterfront. We were upgraded to a spacious apartment-style suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and multiple balconies - it felt more like a private residence than a hotel room. The location is also ideal, conveniently positioned between the city and the airport, and close to the National Museum of Qatar, making sightseeing easy without sacrificing relaxation.
However, what truly sets this hotel apart is its people.
The Guest Relations Team consistently went above and beyond - checking in on us without ever being intrusive, anticipating our needs, and ensuring that every detail of our stay was seamless. They turned a luxury hotel into a warm, safe, and welcoming home.
I would like to recognise several team members who made a lasting impression: Anisha, Bander, Lili, Agustina, Diana, Ahmad, Yalda, and Filippo from the breakfast team. Each of them played a role in making our stay so special.
I would also like to single out Mrs. Rail Lucas, who was simply exceptional. She met with us daily, helped organise our dinners, recommended places to visit in Doha, ensured we were always comfortable, and still found time for a friendly conversation despite her many responsibilities. She made us feel genuinely cared for - while always giving credit to her team rather than herself.
As someone who manages a large team professionally, I recognise true leadership when I see it. Mrs. Rail is exactly that: kind, sincere, attentive, and deeply committed to both her guests and her colleagues. Her care was not performative - it was genuine.

Beautiful hotel and pool area! The staff are so so lovely and welcoming, especially Francis who looked after us so much. He was absolutely amazing!!! He always made sure we had everything that we needed.

It was truly a pleasure staying at Sharq, especially as it was my first visit to Doha. The experience was excellent, and the entire team made me feel genuinely welcomed.
I would like to especially commend John Nganga at the reception for his outstanding service. In addition, Bandar and Nisrine from Guest Relations, Raju from the Bell Desk, Syed at the front entrance (golf cart driver), Nefzi from Guest Experience, Areej from the Spa, Marouane (Manager on Duty), Mohshin from guest service were all exceptionally helpful, attentive, and kind throughout my stay.
Due to a busier-than-expected business schedule, I did not have the opportunity to fully experience all of Sharq's facilities this time. However, I very much look forward to returning on my next visit to Doha in 2026 and spending more time enjoying the property.
The staff and shadhat were amazing and we were super happy with the service. Truly a 5 star stay at this hotel.

Layout very nice, rooms nice, breakfast ok but nothing special. Biggest let down is some of the staff. Some are nice and friendly, others don’t make you feel like you’re a guest in a hotel and just poor service.
Three examples:
On arrival, no real welcome - you have to serve yourself from the coffee.
At breakfast, no effort to accommodate or be helpful. Told to wait outside while waiting for an outdoor table instead of accommodating inside until a table became available. After a while I asked to be sat inside while waiting, then moved to a slightly larger table and told our food would be moved across - it wasn’t. Honestly felt like a restaurant with poor service.
Kids went into jacuzzi, not knowing an adult must be with them. The lifeguard asked them to leave, they did but they also asked why they weren’t, instead of answering he started shouting.
At pool, towel stands unmanned, and difficult to find someone to get you a towel/water.
Some staff were pleasant but overall left feeling staff trained far below other Bonvoy/Ritz-Carlton hotels.
In summary, good facilities but poor hospitality.
This hotel has wonderful location at sea ,great restaurants, beautiful rooms and friendly staff
You must try the spa so beautiful & relaxing
