Pros:

We booked this hotel on a whim en route to Nola when he hit bad weather. What a fantastic unexpected gem! 💎 This hotel is lively, fun, beautiful, and full of hospitality. We only stayed one night, but it was a great stay.

Pleasant but nothing special.
Pros:

The location is excellent. The service was great, and the whispering arch is fantastic.

Cons:

I was hoping for more of a boutique, old-world vibe but the rooms are very modern and generic. For one of the oldest hotels in Mobile it was no different to any good-quality generic hotel.

Exceedingly Great!!!!
Pros:

We took the Mardi Gras Amtrak train from NOLA to Mobile and stayed the weekend at the Battlehouse hotel. It was everything we expected and more. The staff were friendly and professional. The location was near everything! The hotel offers valet parking and the valet staff were friendly as well. Nice rooms, quiet, comfortable beds and the restaurants were an added plus. High quality food at reasonable prices. We plan to return when our travels take us to Mobile.

4 out of 5 stars
Pros:

It has been several years since I have reviewed this hotel.

It is perhaps the best hotel in Mobile and has one of the most impressive lobbies in the world, literally.

An interesting building, there is an old side and a new side.

The Battlehouse is connected to the RSA Tower, the tallest building in Alabama.

While the Battlehouse building may be old, the rooms are large and impressive.

The beds are comfortable and come with all the amenities an American hotel room should have.

The Battlehouse is trying to be a 5 star hotel and they are close.

The nice furniture in the rooms are showing scuff marks and wear, probably from repeated annual Mardi Gras guests who are rough on this nice hotel.

The paint above my shower stall was starting to peel on the ceiling probably from the steam from the hot shower.

It looked like there was a microwave oven next to my mini fridge but the slot was empty.

These small items prevented a 5 star rating and yes, details like these matter.

It is still a great place to stay and is well located.

I would stay again.
