Solid Choice for Tokyo
Pros:

Ripping mainstay, the lobby has been tastefully redecorated since I last visited two to three years ago. Common areas are lovely and the hotel is a convenient fifteen to twenty minute taxi ride from popular Tokyo neighborhoods like Ginza and Otomesando. The underground is in the same complex but is a good 8 to 19 minute walk from the hotel. Guest rooms lack in lighting and suffer a bit from dark wood finishing that dim the rooms. The breakfast area is understaffed and you often must wait for a seat as the limited staff cannot handle the morning rush. All in all, a solid choice in Tokyo - inoffensive, well located, but rooms could do with a refresh and the breakfast certainly could use some more servers and staff on hand. Not a “wow” but it is reliable and professional.

Nine Stays Later, The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo Still Feels Like Home
Pros:

This was our ninth stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo, and there is perhaps no stronger endorsement than choosing to return to the same hotel year after year.

Luxury can be measured in many ways—architecture, furnishings, or panoramic views—but what keeps bringing us back is something far less tangible: the people. The Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo consistently create an atmosphere that feels warm, genuine, and personal. It is this sense of familiarity and care that transforms a beautiful hotel into a place that truly feels like home.

The Club Lounge once again stood out as one of the highlights of our stay. The team was attentive, thoughtful, and always willing to go the extra mile, from assisting with restaurant recommendations before arrival to remembering our family’s preferences throughout the visit. Their professionalism remains one of the hotel’s greatest strengths.

Our room was conveniently located on the same floor as the Club Lounge, making the stay particularly comfortable for our family. It is these thoughtful arrangements—often unnoticed by many—that reflect a genuine understanding of returning guests.

That said, one of the reasons we continue returning is because we believe honest feedback contributes to maintaining the exceptional standards associated with The Ritz-Carlton.

Compared with several of our previous stays, the turndown service felt less polished during the first two evenings. Small touches that had once distinguished the experience—carefully organised personal items, refreshed bedside water, a tidier workspace, and the meticulous attention to detail that Ritz-Carlton is renowned for—were noticeably absent. Fortunately, after sharing our observations, the hotel responded promptly, and the service improved during the remainder of our stay. That willingness to listen and act deserves recognition.

We also experienced an issue with the blackout curtains, which allowed more morning light into the room than expected. As a light sleeper, this affected the quality of my rest. Once reported, the Engineering team responded efficiently and inspected the room without delay, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to resolving concerns professionally.

There were also a couple of operational details regarding Marriott Bonvoy benefits that remained unclear, including the application of the USD 100 Hotel Credit and the Elite Welcome Gift process. While these matters did not diminish our overall experience, clearer communication at check-in would further enhance an otherwise seamless arrival.

What continues to distinguish The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo is not the absence of imperfections, but the attitude with which they are addressed. A truly exceptional hotel is not one that never makes mistakes—it is one that listens, responds, and continuously strives to improve.

After nine stays, I can confidently say that The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo remains one of the finest luxury hotels in Japan. Not because it is flawless, but because it continues to deliver something increasingly rare in modern luxury hospitality: consistency, sincerity, and people who genuinely care.

We are already looking forward to returning again.

Ficamos muito bem instalados neste hotel confortável e bem localizado. Muito recomendável
Pros:
