Super 8 by Wyndham Abilene North

This is a broke down old hotel in the worst condition I have ever seen please be aware before you stay and I am not a picky person, but this was bad.

Hotel availability is scarce in Abilene with extensive data center construction in town. Super 8 was one a handful of hotels available. I wish I hadn't booked it. I don't know where they got the stock pictures of the hotel, but they look nothing like the current condition. The carpeting was disgusting with stains everywhere, some of which were tacky. I refused to take off my shoes. The bathroom toilet valve was broken and leaked constantly. The furniture was damaged often with holes, obviously taken from another hotel that was demolished or refurbished. The only available electrical outlet was hanging from the wall with live wires exposed. The whole room looked like some horrible crime scene. The front desk refused to address any of the issues. They actually lock the office at night with a phone number taped to the door. Avoid this place at all cost.

Don't stop in this city if the health department lets hotels operate in this condition. This building may fall in on itself any time now. Great parking!

Room, I stayed in was in a serious state of neglect. Lots of Maintenance issues. Very little cleanliness. I slept in my car instead of the room. Only used the room for the shower.

Just don’t feel safe at all and room dirty and smell mold from carpet. This is experienced from 2 years ago. I did booked again by mistake this time because picture on the website was so nice and didn’t remember about the address. When I arrived the hotel my memory came back. So just turn around after say hello and goodbye to the receptionist.

For the love of god sleep in your car first. I have never walked in a room and turned around and left. Bed sheets were dirty, outlets hanging out of the wall, half finished sheet rock, and the bathroom was worse than a porta pot at a construction site. Believe the reviews because I didn’t.

Door swing lock not attached, door frame loose from wall, we stripped bed after use and found grass and dirt. Only one towel for a two bed 4 person room. spoiled waffle batter, no juice, coffee very weak. Cereal stale. Hotel staff used the breakfast mini fridge for their open drinks.

Nice person at the desk. The room was newly remodeled but not completely finished. Freeway is noisy and stairs are rusting apart. I recommend fixing the stairs and getting triple pane windows. Sorry!🙂when it’s finished it will be very nice!

This place needs a facelift and upgrade. It is no more than a transient holding place. Throw some money at it and bring it into today.

The pool was closed. The room had 2 beds and a dresser. No desk, chairs or night stand. The sink did not work properly. The bathroom floor was unsteady. We checked out and left.

Holes in the walls stained disgusting towels cockroaches dead bugs on the walls on his wall disgustingly dirty microwave the list goes on

Most of the rooms are being remodeled and even the ones being rented are missing stuff like covers for light switches and electrical plugs. TV options are extremely limited. I know it’s cheap but really!

In walking in the room smelled like moldy sheets it was very hot the chair on the desk was falling apart sheets on bed had stains also no WiFi the stairs leading to the second floor felt dangerous and as if they’d break at any moment

The room was filthy, there were live and dead bees in the room, there was trash left, carpets were dirty, unvaccuumed, and wet. My wife got stung by one of the bees. The front desk didnt offer a refund, but only an insincere, "I'm sorry".

I can't rate my stay as my reservation was canceled by the hotel. I ended up staying at another location in a different city. I wish i could say something about the food, service, and location but i did not stay at this location.

The room that I reserved was not available. The swimming pool was dry and had been for a while. We had to go and ask for towels, and the internet password.

This hotel is by far the worst accommodation I have ever frequented. We checked in to our room to find the door frame splintered and broken, holes/cut-outs in various places in the walls, outlet covers missing from all electrical outlets, a dirty rag on the floor behind the toilet to sop up the dripping toilet, the fire alarm disconnected and sitting on the dresser,  open outlet boxes with exposed wiring, a filthy tub, and bugs that jumped on my daughter as she stood in the room. It advertised a breakfast, which we learned was not offered due to broken equipment. We checked out immediately & will never again book through Expedia.
