Okay for a one night at a decent cost.
Pros:

Nice location

Cons:

Hotel is tired and needs work doing in all areas, such as Decoration, ground and building maintenance. The Standard does not meet expectations on the website. Limited to bar snacks at night time. We went into Shifnal to eat.

Enjoyable stay...we'd do it again.

Hotel looked "tired"....needs a lick of paint etc...steam room was closed..wasnt informed about that...nice gardens but grass needed cutting.

The parking is a scam.
Pros:

I will not park at this hotel because they are scamming guests, because I don't think the parking company is legit. I went there just for an interview, noticed the sign which said if your a guest put your registration with the hotel. I did so but still received a letter for a fine. Not much help from the hotel to have the proper contact to the parking company. Calling the parking company you just have a AI voice requesting for the payment not an actually human to explain. I wrote for an appeal to explain what I did but got told to wait 28 days to hear back to be told that the appeal has been cancelled and have to pay. Not happy for the outcome. Just feel scammed, so if your thinking of staying out the hotel watch the parking.

Do not park at this hotel(Haughton hall hotel) because it's a SCAM.
Pros:

This review is for anyone who is visiting this hotel, do not park there because they are scamming you.(Haughton hall hotel). Me and my sister went to the hotel for an interview and we noticed it's an private car park so we went to the receptionist and asked if it's ok to park. The receptionist said it is but register in on the system, so we did what we was told. About a couple days later we got an letter giving us an fine for £60, we called the hotel back but the receptionist said she would email the company which gave us the fine to appeal. We still haven't heard from the receptionist so we did our own appeal instead, but found it hard to talk with someone from the car fine which is called( Priemer Park )and wasn't sure it is a legit company because we research about it and I found alot of negative complaints on Facebook. At the end we got in touch and appealed but still was rejected. So we had to pay but only paid £20.

Outstanding service from everyone you encounter here!
Pros:

The whole experience is made by the staff here, not a single person who I interacted with was anything other than exemplary in their service but I do have to single out Calin, the concierge/receptionist/barman who made me feel very welcome, feedback form other guest was that he was like this for everyone. The use of the SPA is great and nice to relax in. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone

Cons:

The building is a little tired but it is a very beautiful one and the areas in use are clean and operational. The spa was nice although the steam room was out of action during my stay

Great cheap stay in a grand building. Ashame we couldn’t open the bedroom windows as sealed. Very warm.

Lovely anniversary stay
Pros:

We stayed at the hotel for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and, honestly, after reading some of the online reviews, we arrived with fairly low expectations. However, we were very pleasantly surprised.

First of all, the customer service was absolutely wonderful. The staff prepared a lovely little welcome for us following my special request, which made our anniversary feel really special from the moment we arrived. Throughout our stay, everyone was friendly, attentive and always happy to help whenever we needed anything.

The suite itself was very large and looked exactly like the photos online, which was another pleasant surprise.

Of course, there are areas that could benefit from a deeper clean and some refreshing, but in our opinion the hotel definitely does not deserve such harsh reviews. Our overall experience was much better than expected.

We had a fantastic stay, a lovely time together and left with very positive memories. We would happily recommend this hotel and would definitely consider visiting again.

Cons:

Changing rooms in the leisure facilities could benefit from a refresh/deep clean but overall, the pool/jacuzzi/sauna were great.
