Haughton Hall is an early 18th centiry building with lots of chararcter and charm. There are interesting bedrooms in the old building with some nice vintage furniture. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.
The property needs substantial investment - it has not been well maintained over the years and there is an urgent need to refresh tired decor. The bathroom fittings look 30 years old.
A wonderful wee hotel. In transition, with new owners and staff who clearly care a great deal about their hotel and guests.
It has the potential to become something really, really special.
Peterjohn was our host for dinner and Janet for breakfast, both of whom made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. Hats off to them for their help — thank you!
Abdul, the new manager, helped us check out. Again, another great guy looking after his guests.
A lovely clean hotel. No issues. We will be back.
A good location and price for reasonable quality for access to RAF Cosford and the historical sites around Ironbridge
Not an issue
Beautiful building
Nothing
Plenty of car parking , friendly welcome , nice big room
Bit dated , no air con , room smelt very fusty
Love this hotel its just so relaxed and the traditional building is fascinating! Its our third visit this year already and it just gets better ! Staff are super super friendly and helpful . The pool area is so relaxed .its just the best weekend break for us as its jot to far away .
We had to check out at the end of our stay 🙁
Ease of location
Staff were lovely
Room comfortable and clean
Nice swimming pool
Great parking
Nice breakfast
Nice small gym and pool facilities and attractive gardens to walk around. Nice old building. Nicely cooked breakfast. Great value for money. Not my first stay and will return in the future.
No air con in our bedroom. Was fine with a fan on when cooler in the late evening but too hot during the day with a 34C heatwave outside. Im sure it would be fine any other time of the year though. Tennis court needs renovation.
The staff were all very nice and helpful, went out of their way to help with anything.
The pool was a welcome bonus especially in the heat. Although the dressing room was very tired and needs redecorating.
My room was very hot and that wasn't something the staff had control over .
I did like it there and would probably stay again.
It was very hot when I stayed and as with all old country homes , no aircon, they did have a big fan in the room and also gave me a small one.
It would have been nice to have had a small fridge in the room to put water and the milk pots in. They were getting so hot they were going off.
There's plenty of room on the landing by the stairs, so maybe they could put a fridge there then water and milk could just be accessed by guests as and when needed.
The car park at the back of the building was dark and being a woman on my own i did feel a bit vulnerable when having to park there.
Clean. Friendly staff. Great rooms.
Everything
Driveway
Pretty much everything else
Really interesting building set in a lovely location.
Room was big and spacious with period furniture which looked great but wasn't so comfortable.
Staff were great, really friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was brilliant. Great range of options and really beautifully cooked hot breakfast.
The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food on the whole excellent.
The building is a bit tired, but we found out that they will be undertaking a major renovation later this year. We are looking forward to going back to see how they are doing.
