Our Stay at Green Park Hotel was very pleasant (there is considerable road noise at night, but I suspect this could exist at many hotels in this city of 22 million people). Our suite was well maintained, clean, and matched its description and online photos. The food and beer in the view restaurant were good and both were fairly priced. The advertised roof top restaurant does not yet exist, and I doubt their claim of being able to seat 300 people for meetings is accurate (certainly did not affect our pleasant stay). The location adjacent to the large Chapultepec Park and several museums is a good choice for many travelers. For those seeking proximity to many restaurants and a lively street scene, hotels northeast of here (possibly near the Sheraton Maria Isabel) would be a better choice. In our case, we were active all day after breakfast, had our dinner at various locations around town, and took an Uber back to the hotel, so it all worked out great for us.
This place will take your money any opportunity they can, they will charge multiple charges to your credit card and when you get back to the US weeks later, you will still be disputing credit card charges. They refused to send any receipt of charges or cancellations and it is a very sketchy business. I have stayed in so many better boutique hotels in Mexico City… This is not the one to stay in.
The hotel looks great in pictures, but once you step in there’s a horrible incense like scent everywhere. Upon checking in, I saw a lady coming out of the elevator with a sheer top and nothing underneath. The reins are pretty but the bathrooms seem like they should be at an erotic hotel. Windows from bathroom to bedroom, etc. The rooms are well furnished, but the hotel needs urgent remodeling. I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff were really friendly.
The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. We had a park view room. The bathroom, while appointed very nicely, was awkward with a large window between the bathroom & the bedroom. I believe that it was to offer a view of the park from the tub. However, it also gave anyone in the room a view into the bathroom, including the glass walled toilet. Anyone getting up in the night had to turn on light which shone into the room. The shade on the window helped a little. The hotel was very quiet.
Very large room and bathroom with all amenities; beautiful interior design more like early to mid 20th century.
Friendly and kind reception staff.
Hotel is located in quiet, walkable neighborhood and across from the Chapultepec park.
The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive! Room was beautiful and we loved the location! Bathroom could use a deep cleaning (base boards and walls specifically in the toilet area). Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!
Staff was incredibly helpful
The hotel was empty for sitting in such demanding area. The restaurant was understaffed and couldn’t get service because the only 3 waiters were attending 1 table with a party of 15 people. The hotel promotes their rooftop bar, and we were told is closed because they didn’t have the capacity to attend the big party and the bar at the same time. The hotel is beautiful and receptionists very friendly. Restaurant and bar very disappointing
First the good - the property is located across the street from Chapultepec Park. You have to walk along a very busy street to get to an entrance, but once inside, walking in the park is wonderful. The walk to the various museums is about 30 minutes, or less.
Also good- the rooms are incredibly spacious. The decor is old fashioned English, not to my taste, but it was reasonably functional.
Now the not good:
The bed was super hard and I found it very uncomfortable.
The room seemed clean on first look, but there was a lot of dirt. The maid, put in some elbow grease at my request and was able to clean a sticky mess after I convinced her that it wasn't a flaw in the table finish.
The small rugs by the bed side were filthy.
There's not much going on in the nearby residential area. I ate in the hotel restaurant and wasn't impressed.
This hotel aspires to luxury, but it would take a lot to achieve that.
The awful: The beautiful king rooms with a view of the park were unbearably noisy due to the relentless traffic, including big noisy trucks. I changed to an interior room, which was quiet and has a view into an interior courtyard. Better than the noise!!
Hotel is on a highway so it’s very noisy . Park views were pretty. Staff friendly. Location not terribly central .
I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect if are wanting to do the museums and monuments in the city center and it's also within easy walking distance of many quaint neighborhoods with lots of outdoor dining options. All in all a really nice and highly recommended hotel option for Mexico City.
The hotel room was spacious, clean, and featured the promised views of the Chapultepec Park, however it lacked a bit of coziness. This is probably a great rate for a family requiring a double queen bed. The room was literally 2x the size of my NYC 1 bedroom apartment. But if you're one or two, I would recommend staying closer to Roma Norte, and making a special trip to wander through the neighborhood.
There's no fridge or Nespresso maker, considering there's no lack of space, the basic amenities could be easily added. Cleaning service occurs later in the day then USA hotels, unfortunately interfering with our siesta. So the room was only cleaned once during our 4 day stay. The refresh was good when it happened.
The location is very close to Luis Barragán home and studio, Casa Ortega, the mentioned park. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to Roma Norte as well as the other touristy districts.
Sounds at night. Could not sleep. Food very bad. Shower very bad gets hot sudenly when you are tak I ng the bath. The rest very good
It was fine but definitely not a 4 star property noisy busy not great location. Looks nicer online
The beatiful room
Needs some renovations, dusty rooms. The busy street outside shakes the building a bit.
I don't really write bad reviews for the sake of it! I do understand and respect the others here who have given great reviews for this hotel. But here is my experience:
1)Very unfriendly (bordering rude) staff - would not even help with luggage on check out (2 little kids & despite asking).
2)OLD worn out rooms - no microwave or coffee machine in the room. Ours was a suite!
3)Breakfast! - We opted for rooms with breakfast included. Children below 2 are charged as well, that's fine, but the moment we asked if there was something for the kids to eat, the first thing we were told was "they'll have to pay" :p - fine, we will pay kind sir!
Exercising our rights to PAID free breakfast was almost seen as annoying.
All in all, it was one of our worst travel stays!
Excellent service
Amazing
Wow, the Green Park exceeded my expectations. I expected a lot even after reviewing the TripAdvisor reviews. I have only one issue, when I made my online reservation The Green Park immediately charged the full amount on my credit card. I don’t think that is appropriate without advance notice. My hotel experience was excellent. The outdoor patio restaurant was very enjoyable. The breakfasts in The View were nice. Try the Huevos Divorciados. It was the Christmas holiday season, so the staff was stressed by their limited numbers, but they did well.
The room was truly enjoyable. It was a pleasant experience. You may want to ask for a face cloth, but every thing else is provided by the Green Park. We enjoyed our experience.
