clean, small rooms, well located for the metro, only for those who want a night base and are out
Pros:

good location, near the metro, ground floor of the hotel was nice. It does what it says on the tin, convenient location and only ideal for people of want a night time base and are out in the day.

Cons:

the room is very small, the shower and toilet are very small so if you are tall be very mindful!! I needed two beds as i was travelling with a friend. My request was accepted but the beds are small so be mindful. Be mindful if sporting events are happening it can get very noisy and you can hear street noise, no fault of the hotel but other hotels seem to have better sound insulation. If travelling with friends note the shower room is small and has a thick curtain to separate from the sleeping area.

A quaint hotel that makes you feel like you're part of the neighborhood
Pros:

Wrote this on Google Reviews but leaving here as well.

My wife and I had an absolute lovely time staying at Hotel des Academies et des Arts. It was my first time in Paris but my wife's third, yet, our stay at the hotel made our trip together so much more convenient, easy, and memorable. The staff couldn't have been any nicer, accommodating, and hospitable; Lami at the front desk greeted us warmly when we arrived and was a pleasure to talk to before we ventured out into the city each day. We asked him for advice on travel around the city, and was overall an incredible host to us upon waking up and returning from a night out. He also scheduled us a taxi for the airport to arrive early int the morning when we had to go home. The hotel has a great artsy aesthetic with warm colors and woods in the lobby and the location in Saint Germain is everything you could want. If you're looking for a place that is ritzy and 'high-class', this is not the hotel for you, and I mean that in the best way. Hotel Academie has the perfect balance of bohemian warmth, cohesion, comfort, with boutique hotel features that allow the staff to cater the experience to you due to the smaller volume of rooms.

We largely walked everywhere in the neighborhood thanks to the location, and grabbing a bite to eat was never an issue because everything was at our doorstep. It's easy to feel like a local staying here. Breakfast was simple but a delight in the morning and just enough to get us going. Make this your next stay during your visit. I know we will.

Charming hotel with upscale finishes
Pros:

Delightful small hotel in Montparnasse area. Not close to centre but great neighbourhood with restaurants/shopping/cafes. Metro stops nearby
Liked the art everywhere & on the ceiling in room. Picked better room (typical not large) but had everything. Small bathroom. Good rain shower Very helpful staff who sorted minor issues very quickly.

Cons:

Mattress not comfortable. Could use blinds as had nice view over street but meant you are ‘on view’ & closing curtains made it dark

Let down by over booking at 11pm
Pros:

I booked 3 nights for my daughter, prepaid in full, and made sure she filled out the pre-check-in form they requested.
Yet, when she arrived at the hotel at 23.00, they informed her with a smile that the hotel is full and they have no room for her.
The front-desk person was extremely unhelpful, so I had to start searching online for a solution. By now, it was almost midnight.
The following day, my daughter returned as they found her a room, but when it came to refunding one night and the taxi costs, they said they would, but only refunded the cost of the new hotel, which was less than we paid for the Academia, so they profited from their horrific conduct.
I should add that they claimed to have tried to contact us during the day; however, we received no missed calls, voice messages or email, so we do not believe them.
I have never come across a 4 star hotel behaving like that and now we are asking for the refund paperwork and they are ignoring us.

Well curated and pleasant stay
Pros:

Cute place but noisy- I could hear a drunk couple fighting in the floor above at 3 am. Beautiful street and well curated. I especially loved the staff.

Cons:

It’s a little further out in the 6th then I would like. The prices have gone up a lot.
