Important information:

The complimentary airport shuttle operates on a restricted schedule from October to March, running Monday to Friday between 9am and 2pm.

What happens we get builders knocking down walls and general build from 9am ?? The best part I call reception and I ask what is going on we are trying to sleep , they say it’s during the building hours which is from 9 ??? I think the manager needs to understand that when you have a check out at 11 am that’s when you start the building work not when guests are still sleeping , specially for the Amount of money we paid . The Hilton would have been much better for us . Never had an issue there , and I think we will keep going back to them instead of dokota hotel

Pros:

L’accueil est très agréable. Le personnel est souriant et efficace.
Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses. L’hôtel est très bien placé entre l’aéroport et le centre ville.
Le seul bémol, attention, la navette gratuite ne fonctionne que jusqu’à 14h. Après il faut prendre le bus 747 qui vous laisse à quelques minutes à pied de l’hôtel.

No está bien explicado cómo proceder con el parking del coche.
Al aparcar delante del hotel, si no registras el vehículo en 15 minutos en la recepción del mismo hotel después de la llegada, te pueden multar con 100 libras.
La cena en el hotel a la carta es cara.

Everything was as expected, a quality hotel meeting our needs.
Pros:

Room excellent for the price paid. Evening meal superb. Location as expected. Didn’t want to stay. In Edinburgh centre so location of train station good. Free parking at hotel and station a bonus. £6 return is cheaper than parking.

Cons:

The weather. Not your fault. Could not fault the hotel or staff at all. We have stayed at Dakota in Manchester, which did feel a newer hotel however Edinburgh fulfilled our needs perfectly.

A really great place to stay with a lot of class. The staff are excellent.

It’s a really nice place to stay, the decor and atmosphere really add to the stay.

Cons:

I’ve stayed a few times and noticed that a suite is just exactly the same as one of the standard rooms; same layout, size, decor etc but it has the addition of a minibar and a robe. Not sure that justifies the extra expense? Also, I didn’t pay for breakfast when I booked the stay because I was unsure whether I would have time for breakfast, so thought I would just pay for it if I did. On checking in I was asked to provide a card so they could charge things to my room (totally standard) but I didn’t have a card on me, just Apple Pay. So, things obviously couldn’t be charged to my room. However, this caused a great deal of confusion on one of the mornings when I I did have breakfast. I explained the situation so was asked what I wanted before I’d even seen a menu, so they would know what to charge me. I pointed out I hadn’t seen the menu and was allowed to sit down. However, I was then presented with a card machine just as my breakfast arrived. It all felt a bit like I was suspected to be some random person who had wandered in trying to con a continental breakfast from the hotel. I understand the need for making sure things are going to be paid for but there might be a bit of a better system that doesn’t leave an impression that you are not trusted?

Pros:

The room was superb, adding a bottle of milk was a nice touch too

Cons:

Restaurant service was slow 1st note but awful 2nd nite, long delay, fobbed off when I phoned down at 9pm - possibly shift change but not good. The person who'd pick up later was very apologetic and nice so top marks her and the guy who brought my dinner up at 9.30.
All in all it was let down by the restaurant service which is a shame as I thought it was potentially excellent
