Friendly staff, great location and facilities and we can’t wait to return next time.
Pros:

Great location in easy walking distance to Lourve, shopping, great restaurants and tour starting points. Staff were fantastic and so friendly. Helpful and always willing to help. Room was spacious, clean with great facilities. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

Wonderful and helpful staff accompany this jewel of a hotel. A hidden gem in the 1st district.
Pros:

Love the location. Easy walking to most everything. Lovely and attentive staff.

Fantastic location and excellent hotel.
Pros:

The location is incredible - you walk out from the hotel and in a few steps you can see The Louvre. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff is superb: helpful, proactive and friendly.

Cons:

There are no coffee or tea facilities in the rooms or in the lobby. The breakfast choices are limited.

Pros:

Really lovely staff!!! Fab central location !!

Cons:

Interior needs updating!!! We were in the basement - poor design - looked out onto a yard with bad lighting! Not the best hotel and it was expensive for one night!

Pros:

My wife needed to visit a doctor. They set up an appointment and followed up with it. We had trouble getting the results of the lab test and they went way beyond what I thought would have been an effort to get the results. When we return, they had it in an ample for us all in English, and it was a good relief that the medication she was prescribed was what was needed for the condition. This hotel has exceptional personnel at the front desk.

Pros:

The Front Desk Staff were exceptional. Particularly Sonia.

Cons:

The fact that Riviera Travel didn't remit payment for O'Neil and Kubiski in advance of their stay. And L'Empire charged a higher price upsetting my clients immensely.

Pros:

Flexibility and friendliness of the staff (they recognized us from 3 year ago), executive suite was excellent for our work. Location of the hotel is fabulous: walking distance from Louvre, les Halles, Notre Dame, Marais, everything literally around the corner!
Note that parking in Paris city center is a cruelty. Check the underground (valet) parking around the corner.

Our saying back home is: "A visit to Paris is always a good idea", we'd like to add "... staying at l'Empire is an even better idea" ;)

Cons:

Around 7AM on weekdays the garbage is collected, twice a week the glass trash-bin is emptied.
Price seems high, though value is definitely higher.

Do not skip this boutique hotel in the heart of the 1st arrondissement
Pros:

Location, location, LOCATION! Centrally located, with polite multi-lingual staff and clean amenities. 2 minutes to bus or train, Notre Dame, the Seine, and Louvre are all just minutes away.

Cons:

If i am being nitpicky, the front elevator is tiny and slow, and often times was used by building staff in the course of their duties
