Everything was wonderful. This was for my wife's birthday. If you need a place to pamper your wife, this is the place. She will not be disappointed!
From the very first phone call, I had a feeling Solage was going to be special. Roberto answered all my questions with such genuine kindness that I felt welcomed before I even stepped foot on the property. That hospitality only grew once we arrived. Our group of three couples was absolutely delighted to find we’d been upgraded to gorgeous suites featuring fireplaces and our own private outdoor hot tubs. The management team, Matt and Sean, even greeted us personally with cold beers—a small gesture that made us feel so celebrated. They even went the extra mile by calling our scheduled vineyards ahead of time to ensure we were treated to extra special service.
The food at Solbar was a delicious. Our mornings started perfectly with the lemon ricotta pancakes, and our dinner were just as memorable. The pork schnitzel was a total standout, and the Rocky S’more for dessert was pure, heavenly bliss.
What we’ll remember most, though, is the soul of the property: the people. Every single person we encountered—from the hardworking housekeeping team to the friendly bellmen—was so incredibly kind and hospitable. They didn't just provide a service; they made us feel like honored guests. Between the stunning grounds, the rejuvenating mineral pools, and the world-class spa, this was a trip we will never forget.
I took my adult son and daughter to Solage as a birthday celebration, just the three of us without spouses or (their) children, and it was outstanding. The resort itself is serene, gorgeous, and easy to get to. We used the spa (outstanding) and ate all meals there (delicious and easy), as well as the 5 pools they offer. The rooms are tranquil and comfortable and well laid-out. It is very quiet, with each studio separate with large patio and privacy so there are no adjoining walls. The service is excellent in all regards. Highly recommend this, and we will return again.
Atmosphere was relaxed, spa area was very inviting with a great variety of pools, sauna and steam room. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Solbar was delicious and the service was impeccable.
Solage was next level hospitality - the friendliest, most helpful and polite staff. The food is out of this world - we had breakfast and dinner at Solbar on various occasions, so delicious every time! The amenities were wonderful, the rooms were very clean and relaxing. We cannot wait to be back. Thank you to everyone at Solage for the best stay!
The cottages were nicely situated throughout the property, providing lots of privacy, and they are beautifully decorated and well kept.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable.
Solbar was also exceptional.
I will definitely be back!
Absolutely the best resort in Napa. I go there all the time. Their spa is AMAZING with multi mineral pools, hot sauna, steam room, and semi-cold plunge. Oh, they have a super gym with excellent equipment. The most complete resort gym I've experienced.
A wonderful resort! Terrific dining and spa, personal attention from staff, and to top it off they are incredibly pet friendly (they even provided a monogramed bandana with the pet amenities in our room🐾).
This was our second time here and we will definitely be returning again in the future.
Spent New Year's Eve and Day at Solage. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time at the resort. The Spa facilities are excellent and made our stay that more relaxing. The New Year's Eve dinner was well thought out and delicious! A real gem in Calistoga.
We chose Solage expecting the refined, anticipatory service typically associated with an Auberge property, particularly given its positioning as a luxury wellness resort. Unfortunately, the experience did not consistently meet that expectation. Across multiple touchpoints, the level of polish, professionalism, and operational discipline felt lacking, from unrefined guest interactions to missing basic amenities and service that felt more performative than guest-focused.
For context, we often stay at Indian Springs during the cooler months, which is a 3-minute drive from Solage. While it is not positioned as a luxury resort, it consistently delivers a high-quality experience and feels honest about what it is. For comparable room types on the same weekend, Solage is priced roughly 15 to 20 percent higher, yet for us, that premium did not translate into a meaningfully better experience. In contrast, Solage currently feels as though it is masquerading as an Auberge-level experience without reliably delivering the service standards, polish, or operational consistency that such positioning implies.
This could be a very special property with stronger leadership, training, and attention to detail, but at present the experience does not align with the brand promise.
The stay overall was amazing. The staff was very attentive and kind. The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. Everyone from valet to the turn down service team was incredible. We enjoyed every single meal on property as well. Pico bar was the perfect spot for lunch after traveling all day and Solbar was amazing for dinner and breakfast. Every detail was paid attention to and we were wished a congratulations by every team member we encountered for being on our honeymoon. The rooms were clean and turndown service was provided each night. The team also left us a sweet note with a bottle of wine for our celebration.
The spa was also a highlight for their mudslide treatments.
Our final note would be around the notable customer service at the property, overall, with drivers who take you to nearby reservations and a valet team that delivers your car and your belongings to your room. Everything at the property was well managed and you could tell communication flowed well from front of house to back.
everything was perfect, solbar had amazing food, we did not have to drive out of the resort. Amazing spa, no kids allowed, service was overall 10/10
Incredible experience! Thank you so much to all the incredible staff at the Solage. The spa was delightful, the food was incredible, but most importantly the staff went above and beyond
This was maybe our 4th or 5th time staying here (our home away from home), and this time we splurged a bit and booked the Silverado suite and stayed for three nights with our large dog and his equally large sister who we are watching over the holidays. The entire resort is very dog-friendly but it was nice having our own private hot tub in the backyard too so we can hang out with the pups while we relax. The room came with two large dog beds as we requested, treats, four food/water bowls, and even matching bandanas with their names embroidered on them, which was such a nice gift.
We dined at the restaurant (Solbar) for two nights and the service was friendly and professional and the food was excellent as always. We got the “canned” tuna and the pretzel + caviar as appetizers. Highly recommend both, along with the Japanese style cod they always have on the menu that we always get. We also went to Truss at the Four Seasons across the street for one dinner but were disappointed in both the service and the food, especially compared to when we went there first a few years ago (we read the chef had left). We were able to leave the dogs in the room for dinner, which was great because it was raining for most of our stay and we wouldn’t have been able to dine outside with them.
If you’re staying in Calistoga this is the best place, dog or no dog.
Nice high end hotel and staff... food in restaurant was not very filling for the price. Room is very cool, but did not find the furniture very comfy.
The fireplace studio is worthy of staying in for longer than one night. Beautifully decorated and had all the needed amenities. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom luxuriously spacious. Clean and well kept.
We had a lovely time at Solage Resort and enjoyed the spa, Solbar dining and in room dining. All were superb! Can't wait to return!!
Love Solage. Very easy to relax. One of the most beautiful resorts in the world. Great pools and staff. Always feel better after a trip to the spa pools.
Solage is my home away from home. I went on a girl's getaway, it was cold weather and the Spa House is incredible, swimming pool sized mineral pool, 2 large jacuzzi, infrared spa, steam and warm lounge, plus a 50-55 degree cold plunge. 5 pools to enjoy. Solbar Restaurant is excellent.
Extremely dog friendly! Wonderful amenities in room and around the property. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back!
