Ramada by Windham Taksim Pera ...not close to Ramada standards I was used to
Pros:

The reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful.Also, one of the waiters in the breakfast hall was very nice and when he saw we didn't find a free table, one morning, he led us to a different hall (which was, in fact, the bar room) where there were free tables in an elegant hall, with good music in the bacground and where we had breakfast eversince. I also liked the rooftop and the pool, although there were very few sunbeds and we had to wait, a few times, for somebody else to leave, in order to sit and enjoy the sun and the pool. Breakfast food was great, especially the large variety of specialty cheese and the fruits and cookies.

Cons:

I didn't like 3 things:
1. The bathroom sink (we had a Standard double room) was a real catastrophy : it was a flat-bottom cylinder without any slope, so the water with residues could not go easily down the drain. It was horrible to wash there every day.
2. The maid always forgot to leave there either the face-towels or the shower gel.Probably she was expecting for the tip (as they all do!).
3.Menemen (Turkish omlette) was horrible -it was full of oil and liquid...far from the delicious real Menemen that I have eaten in Istanbul many times when I lived there , as an expat, in 2018.

Location is great... 2 mins from shops ans restaurant

Cons:

Rooms are tired, housekeeping took towels and never replace them. Central AC is blocked on 24 C and it can be really jot at night. Breakfast is very poor and service is inesxistant at breakfast time!

Nous avons quitté l’hôtel quelques minutes après le check-in.

Malheureusement, rien de suffisamment positif pour compenser l’expérience que nous avons vécue.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons compris que cet hôtel ne nous convenait pas. Comme nous n’avions même pas encore pris possession de la chambre, nous avons demandé à l’établissement un geste commercial et l’annulation de la réservation, mais celui-ci a refusé toute possibilité de remboursement. Nous avons alors attendu plusieurs heures l’intervention de Booking, qui devait nous aider à trouver une solution. Sans retour dans la soirée, nous avons finalement fait le check-in tardivement. Malheureusement, en entrant dans la chambre, nous avons découvert une forte odeur désagréable et un niveau de propreté très insuffisant. L’établissement était également très bruyant en raison de l’emplacement. Le quartier nous a beaucoup déçus : rues sales et environnement dans lequel nous ne nous sommes pas sentis en sécurité. Après seulement quelques minutes dans la chambre, nous avons quitté l’hôtel et avons dû payer un autre établissement pour passer la nuit. Je conseille aux voyageurs de ne pas se fier uniquement à la note affichée sur Booking ni à une offre qui paraît particulièrement avantageuse. Dans notre cas, le prix initial affiché était élevé et la réduction très importante, ce qui nous a laissé penser que nous profitions d’une excellente offre pour un établissement d’un certain standing. Notre expérience sur place a malheureusement été très différente. Je recommande donc de bien consulter les avis récents, les photos et l’emplacement avant de réserver.

Pros:

Les piscines (intérieur et extérieur), le rooftop, l'emplacement, le petit déjeuner.

Cons:

Malheureusement la piscine intérieur était fermé 3 jours sur 4. L'odeur d'humidité/chlore dans la chambre certainement en lien avec la piscine (on était juste en dessous). Propreté dans la chambre pouvant être améliorée.
