Everything was lovely
The room appeared to have an ant infestation, as there were ants throughout the room, suggesting there may have been a nest nearby.
There was no full-length mirror in the room, which was disappointing. The shower enclosure also leaked badly, causing water to spread across the entire bathroom floor after each use.
Additionally, the TV remote control did not work on arrival, although this issue was resolved after I reported it and a replacement remote was provided.
Overall, the hotel felt quite tired and in need of refurbishment. While some issues were addressed by the staff, the overall condition of the room did not meet the standard I was expecting.
The rooms were located in separate accommodation blocks away from the main hotel building. The buildings felt dated and institutional in appearance, giving the impression of older residential accommodation rather than hotel rooms. This detracted from the overall experience and was not what I had expected based on the hotel's presentation.
No air conditioning in the room, couldn't sleep. No availability to upgrade room for a room with air con.
Good location. Our second room was great.
The first room we were given smelled of damp and had bubbling paint on walls. We asked to be moved.
The venue and area, so peaceful
We arrived at the worst time, at the same time as a prom, that we didnt know about in advance and struggled to park. The end of the corridor door was open and the corridor smelt strongly of weed
Breakfast was ok. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
We had a room for 4 days which had no drawers
Fantastic location
We had an accessible room nicely laid out. Lovely grounds. Good location. Good tea coffee tray etc. Breakfast had a very large choice.
Accessible room was down stairs and a long corridor not easy to get to and from. Air con unit didnt work.
Meals were excellent, breakfast had an amazing selection, room to a high standard. Accommodated our pet with a nice touch of a bed plus treats. Little things that make a big difference.
Not much truth be told.
The lake and the grounds
Bit soleless inside and quite forgettable. Also poor signage from the main road meaning I drove past three times. It was OK but nothing special. No real atmosphere either.
Duvets in the bedroom were snifflingly hot..where are the summer ones??
We had a lovely air conditioned and quiet room
The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great.
We were upgraded to a larger room which was much appreciated.
Our shower was running too hot and the thermostat was stuck so it couldn't be adjusted. Staff noted the problem to put it right for the next guests.
Staff at check-in and restaurant waiting staff were all friendly and professional. Security and parking were great. Room was small, but fine for an overnight stay. Vegetarian options on the restaurant menu were well designed and executed, Chapeau to the Chef & Team.
Room was unusually noisy when other guests were talking in the corridor.
The location ws perfect for us to attend a private arty at the West Horsley Place Barn. Breakfast was very good.
The Horsley Court complex (excluding the separate Towers Hotel shown in most photos) is a sprawling modern hotel and conference centrer and most of the rooms (in a refurbished stable block?) are a bit small.

no bubble bath
