Beautiful location, comfortable rooms, exceptionally pleasant staff, free parking, great surroundings for a walk, excellent breakfast, large pool.
Bedroom was very hot in the exceptionally hot weather, aircon would have been nice, but this would rarely apply.
Buffet dinner was stingy with the potatoes, only allowed one.
Staff very helpful and efficient. Lovely location,
Rooms were a bit small, didn't match up to the rest of the amenities.
Very pleasant place lovely surroundings
The reception staff seemed overwhelmed with things
The breakfast lived up to the reviews I had read, interested in reading how De Vere are trying to help people choose healthier options. Liked that check out was 11 a.m. as standard.
winter weight duvet on bed which was too much.
Breakfast was reasonably good. Parking access was good.
Room was strange. Adaptable bathroom for disabled had a shower over bath plus was furthest away from dining . Toilet paper incredibly thin had to use three times the amount than with quality loo roll. Dinner (Pizza) was awful. It was burnt one side and uncooked, doughy the other, no basil as per description. Worst of all was the mattress in room 702. So uncomfortable. When two people are sharing you keep rolling towards the middle so when facing outwards if felt like you were sleeping up a hill. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and barely slept. Exceedingly uncomfortable.

This was my third stay at De Vere Horsley Estate, this time for five nights, and I absolutely love this place.
I run my own furnished holiday accommodation, so when my property is booked I often need somewhere else to stay. I’ve tried different hotels and Airbnbs, but Horsley Estate has become my number one choice. It’s one of those places where I genuinely feel comfortable, relaxed and at home.
The setting is absolutely beautiful, with lovely countryside and so many wonderful places to walk, which is perfect for me. The hotel itself is lovely, but what really makes it special is the whole package. The staff are amazing, the customer service is excellent, and there are so many thoughtful touches for guests.
I particularly love the complimentary coffee and tea stations, water and fruit available around the hotel. It almost feels like being on a little all-inclusive break! I stay in many hotels and I honestly haven’t experienced this level of hospitality and convenience very often.
I’ve already booked another four-night stay in September and I’m really looking forward to coming back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making every stay so enjoyable. ❤️
Nothing at all, everything was excellent. 😊
Good location for my needs
No lift up to 1st floor
Freindly staff. Good location. Ample parking. Nice quiet room. A good selection of hot items at breakfast.
The room needed a little TLC. Some parts of the carpet were thread bare and some moth damage. Maybe a little more selection of cerials would be better and maybe a selection of cold meats and cheese for those that don't particularly want a cooked breakfast.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was controllable for temperature. The breakfast provided a lot of choice and was well cooked and presented.
The room was small and far too hot with no a/c. It was 28C outside. Only the top, small window opened. There was no proper changing room for the pool and no spa pool. I’m not a fan of coffee machines as they produce inferior quality coffee so tea is a better option, even if it’s just a teabag!

Love this location, can walk to local shops and restaurants. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
The location was excellent. I was visiting West Horsley House and it was so near. The grounds were a bonus with lots to explore.
Not much. Would have been good to have a fridge in the room. A minor itch
