Le petit déjeuner, avec un rapport qualité prix pas top : machine à café en panne, on fait la queue sur une seule machine, reapprovisionnement du buffet longuet, pain pas ou peu cuit et un personnel un peu ronchon en salle.

very dissapointing room

Easy access to Harbour

Cons:

The hotel reception was nice and we thought at first glance the hotel was going to be good. However, on entering our room even though we were told we had been ugraded the room was very dated, had very little facilities such as tea and coffee, no coffee machine, limited comfort. Dark and very dated. The hotel was also in a very busy and smelly area of Marseille.

Un très bon rapport qualité prix
Pros:

J’ai beaucoup apprécié la chambre : confortable, spacieuse, avec un lit vraiment agréable.
Le petit canapé attenant était un vrai plus.
La salle de bains, grande et chaleureuse, ajoutait encore au confort.

J’ai adoré le restaurant pour le dîner : les trois personnes au service étaient très sympathiques, souriantes, et d’une gentillesse naturelle, sans jamais en faire trop.

J’avais longtemps hésité entre une chambre avec vue sur le Vieux-Port ou sur la piscine, mais finalement je suis ravie de mon choix : la vue n’était pas exceptionnelle (sur une terrasse), mais la chambre était très calme — ce qui est précieux en plein centre de Marseille.

Le personnel à l’accueil était également excellent.
Et le petit déjeuner était très bon, avec haricots, bacon grillé et la possibilité de commander des œufs au plat.

Cons:

J’attendais vraiment de profiter de la piscine.
Hélas, une pool party était organisée.

Cela aurait pu être une ambiance chic (le restaurant diffusait du latin jazz, un vrai bonheur) mais non : c’était de la musique de club, forte et agaçante. La piscine, très petite, était bondée, avec beaucoup de jeunes (tous clients de l’hôtel ?). Les gens se dandinaient en faisant des selfies bouche en cul de poule. Toutes les chaises étaient prises.

J’aurais pu attendre sur un muret, mais l’ambiance n’était clairement pas ce que je voulais. Ce n’était pas le calme et la détente que j’espérais : même une pool party peut avoir une musique plus relaxante. Et après une journée de visites dans la chaleur ça aurait été bien. J’avais en partie choisi l’hôtel pour ça (+ l’accès facile à la gare)
Je n’avais aucune envie de bruit. Je suis donc remontée dans ma chambre. Plus tard je suis allée au restaurant de l’hôtel et là : parfait.

Je mets malgré tout un 8, car l’hôtel est très bien. Mais dommage de se cantonner à une ambiance aussi bruyante.

Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετικό και πρόθυμο σε ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε. Το πρωινό ήταν ωραίο και η τοποθεσία άψογη, ακριβώς πάνω στο Παλιό Λιμάνι. Περπατήσαμε παντού με ευκολία και η θέα ήταν υπέροχη.

Cons:

Από την άλλη, το πάρκινγκ ήταν με χρέωση. Επίσης μας έκαναν "upgrade" σε δωμάτιο, αλλά είχε δύο μονά κρεβάτια, κάτι που σαν ζευγάρι δεν μας βόλεψε καθόλου.

Great room with amazing port views. Breakfast was good. The poor management of our arrival tainted the experience.

Cons:

Our room was not ready when we arrived (after 3pm - following a long trip) and we were asked to periodically check at reception to see if the room was ready. This meant standing in a queue a few times to check. Access to the pool was offered, but this would have meant having to unpack our swimming gear at reception in front of other guests. No curtesy drinks were offered, despite the heat wave.
When we eventually got our room, I called reception to ask that a dirty pillow case be replaced. I was informed that this was going to be done immediately. It was not done until the following morning.
A delay can occur, it’s how one manages it that makes a difference- the staff did not do a good job.
