Perfect hotel in Korcula
Pros:

This hotel is just on the edge of Korcula, a 10 minute walk from the old town. It is the perfect location, away from the centre, right on the water, the dining veranda looks over the harbour to the old town. Gorgeous! The rooms are functional, cleaned every day. The hotel is quiet, and very friendly and responsive. The food was great! There is a large buffet for breakfast having every kind of breakfast you could want from eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereals, fruit all kinds of breads, croissants, cheeses and meats. Dinner buffet is very good and with lots of choice. Some reviews have mentioned that there isn’t a wide choice, but there is a good variety of all kinds of main dishes, vegetables, vegetarian and meat and fish dishes . I would definitely come back, an extremely pleasant stay!

Worn mattresses knock down the rating
Pros:

I didn’t experience all the issues that previous travelers had encountered. It is a big modern hotel that appeared quite clean. Many rooms have a nice view. Quiet and a 10 minute walk to the town center. The bed complaints are quite spot on. The mattresses are inexpensive and beyond their useful life. I had to rotate the mattresses to make them barely tolerable. Mattress comfort is a big consideration in my rating. The rooms are of a standard size. I also agree that avoiding the restaurant is a good idea. A bit below what I would expect from the 5th best hotel in Korcula.

Leaves an AWFUL lot to be desired.
Pros:

We hope to provide a clear and honest appraisal of this hotel so you can really decide if it is for you.
The hotel is in a great location and has had a recent makeover so many of the areas appear bright clean and comfortable. Sadly there is a lot to be done to make it a comfortable place to stay.
Our bathroom was not cleaned properly before arrival (had to get cleaning staff back in after 1700hrs) we could wipe the grime off the towel rail with a finger and there was black mould in the shower area. Not what we wanted after 12 hours of travelling.
The beds were so bad we could not sleep, practically every spring was protruding and hurting our ribs and hips all night. We were moved rooms the following morning only to find the same terrible standard of mattresses. This problem of bad beds has been highlighted in other reviews, we can assure you it is true. The day manager managed to get us a mattress topper, which was a poor fix.
The buffet food looks good, but was always lukewarm and very badly cooked. The fish (on three occasions) was so dried out and tough it was inedible, cooked chicken was like rubber. It was so obvious this food was routinely kept warm for hours and spoiled.
The only good point we found was that the staff were bright and friendly. We have travelled the world for decades now, and can honestly say this is the first hotel we would never go back to.

Only gets an extra star for the view and they didn't even make the most of it!
Pros:

Very let down by this hotel.

The Room
Firstly, do not book a so called "superior room", the only redeeming feature of the hotel is the view, and we were stuck in room looking at waste space with some plants. It was like being in the basement. Didn't use the balcony once, cannot believe i paid extra for it. Though being a superior room it came with a bath, should have been nice if the bath didn't take nearly 45 minutes to fill up.
Other issues-
No mini bar menu so no idea what anything cost
Poor bed linen thin and not good quality, the beds needed replaced as well
Poor thin towels, needed replaced everyday
There was a disgusting plaster on the hair dryer.
No information on the hotel except that which was given out in reception but this very poor.

The Bar
Small and no atmosphere, no music played. The amount of wine they gave you in a glass was a complete joke for the price. I thought they were letting me taste the wine at first and then i realised that was all of it! The so called happy hours were a joke too, offer you about a euro off an aperol spritz between 5 and 6 and then a gin and tonic between 8 and 9 and that was it! We never really drank there after the first night and there was a nice bar on the way to town called Banje that was very simple but had more atmosphere and better food and drink.
This sounds like i drink a lot but i don't, but on holiday you like to relax somewhere in the evening and we just went back to the room.

Restaurant
I would recommend not paying for half board and if you could have not paid for breakfast i would have done that too. The food was woeful.
Breakfast
Terrible coffee (powder milk in the machine)
Fruit juices were basically diluting juice and with sugar levels that would destroy your teeth
The Yogurt was watery
Toast (the machine that made toast took 15 mins so i gave up in the end)
And the rest was bog standard, we stopped really having much other than ham and cheese

Dinner
As someone else commented, it was like poor school dinners, the same old stuff nearly every night. And as others have commented you have to pay for any kind of drink including water. This would be ok but you would have to pay for 4 glasses of their size of wine to make up one normal glass. And the prices were not cheap for the drinks. I think thats why they allow you to sign everything to you room so you don't realise how much you paid.
Again like the bar after a few nights we stopped going to dinner even though we had paid as it was so poor.

Pool
Pool area was very small and cramped, not relaxing at all. The outside areas in general were poor.

Overall if there was was thing this hotel was good at it was mediocrity. It is the definition of meh! if even one thing had of been above average i would have been happy. But there were much nicer places to stay. I think it only stays open because of the endless stream of Americans who stay one or two night when on longer trips and so they don't care as much.

Pros:

Location was very nice and great views from the balcony and patios. Hotel is showing it age and needs some improvements. Our beds were bad, felt like sleeping in a hammock is sunk so much. Towels were well used. Patio loungers were stained. Hopefully they do some upgrades in the off season

Pros:

The positives: lobby and bar area are very nice. Breakfast buffet has a nice variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a nice sea view from the rooms. It is a short walk to the old town.

The negatives: we booked a top-tier room and, while spacious, it was grubby and worn. The carpets were old and dirty; the towels were threadbare, rough, and small; the one pillow per person was lumpy and uncomfortable; the towel warmer in the bathroom was broken; and the room lacked even the most basic amenities — there were no toiletries, no iron, no coffee maker, no tissues. The pillows were old and lumpy and the toilet paper was like sand paper. We had to ask housekeeping staff to clean our room and give us fresh towels after the third day. It is impossible to shower without getting water everywhere due to the shower set up.

I would not recommend this hotel, especially as compared to the other accommodations we had in Croatia. The hotel appears to have been built in the 1980s and last updated then. The rooms and amenities need a major refresh.

Pros:

While the suite’s spacious but the sea view I saw on the Hotels.com site was definitely not delivered on the actual room. Rather disappointed.

Pros:

What a wonderful hotel! We were welcomed with an upgrade to a suite facing the sea and delighted that breakfast was included. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was great and everything was super clean. The view towards Old Town Korcula is amazing and the hotel is walkable from old town and the ferry terminal (although it goes a bit up so better to pack light!). The staff is super friendly and we were able to leave our luggage after check-out until our ferry departure time.

Low Standard
Pros:

We stayed in many hotels while travelling around Croatia, and this was by far the worst in every aspect. The rooms were basic and poorly maintained, with cheap furniture, bare walls, uncomfortable beds and cleaning that left a lot to be desired. The hotel is advertised as four-star, but in reality it feels more like a two-star.

The location isn’t great — it’s quite far from the town centre — and the facilities are very limited. The pool is small, and there are no amenities on the beach. You can’t even get drink by the pool and the bar is only open in the evening. There is no atmosphere anywhere around hotel and it has no character.

The food was particularly disappointing: bland, lacking variety, and simply not enjoyable. Reminiscent of school dinners in both quality and variety. It was by far the worst food we experienced during our trip.

Although the staff were pleasant and tried to help, there wasn’t much they could do. Overall, a very poor experience and not recommended.

A lovely hotel ,let down by restaurant.
Pros:

The hotel sits on the bay overlooking Korcula old town, a short walk away for restaurants, bars, and shops for most budgets.
The hotel itself was clean and tidy, with helpful and friendly staff, a shout out to Anastasia for her help and advice through out our stay.
She helped especially when we arrived and was disappointed with our room, as we had paid extra for a room upgrade, an upgrade is for room size only, which was on a lower floor offering no view. Anastasia took us to several rooms until wefound one suitable, although smaller, we had a cracking view of Korkula old town.
The restaurant was disappointing, due to the quality of food on offer.

Pros:

The room as well as the whole hotel needs an update. The carpet was in pretty bad shape in our room and lots of the furniture in the public areas has seen better days. Breakfast is good with large selection and a nice view of the harbor. The place is average.

Pros:

Staff were excellent. Room was good. Very good breakfast buffet with excellent view on patio. Only reason for dropping a star on rating was located next to closed run down hotel property which had to pass everyday walking along the water

Amazing again.
Pros:

Just back from another amazing stay at the Liburna Hotel Korcula. Our 3rd year staying here for 11 days again. Superb room overlooking the marina and old town with views that you can never grow tired of.
Stayed half board and breakfast was fantastic with such a varied selection and choice on offer. Evening dinner was also good with a great selection of meat/Fish and vegetarian dishes being served. Getting in to old town is an easy 10/15 minute walk with plenty of restaurants /shops/supermarkets and going down in the evening is a must as the atmosphere changes when all the superyachts and charter boats arrive . Just a note of warning that cruise ships do visit the island now so just be mindful when going down during the day.We managed to see The Festival of Lights this year and wow what a spectacle. Finally we must thank all the staff at the hotel for their kindness and hospitality but special mention to Tee on reception and Milo the General manger who have made our stay even more special this year. See you in 2026.

Fabulous location for visiting Korcula
Pros:

We stayed 2 nights in a superior room with balcony. Comfortable enough but nothing remarkable. Breakfast buffet was extensive and typical of most hotels but no fresh juice available (only squash) which is disappointing. What makes this hotel is its fantastic location and super friendly, helpful staff. The hotel faces across a small bay to the old town which is a 10-20 minutes walk away. You get to stare at Korcula in all its glory while eating breakfast on a sunny terrace! The reception staff were very helpful in rearranging a pre booked tour for us.

A lift connects reception level to the bar and dining and pool levels though the toilets are situated on a mezzanine level which is odd and challenging for anyone with mobility issues. The 10am check out time is a bit inconvenient.

This is a smart place to stay for a visit to Korcula (and we would consider it again) though it does feel like a good hotel when it has the unrealised potential to be great.

Great stay in Korcula.
Pros:

We enjoyed three nights at this hotel. The room was well furnished and very clean. The view from our balcony, looking towards the old town was amazing.
We only had the breakfast option, but this was varied and plentiful with plenty of choice.
Being only about 5-10 minutes walk to the Old Town it is a great location.

Luxurious hotel.
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at your hotel very much. We had a short walk from the ferry and were greeted by a smiling woman with a great sense of humor. Our towel and linens were especially soft and luxurious.
