Limerick Strand Hotel

Lovely central hotel,very clean. Conor on reception desk really friendly and very informative about local places and restaurants.

The location is perfect, close to everything.

Very conveniently located for walking around the city. Very well presented and very quiet.

Staff were very helpful, very clean and comfy athmosphere

My family & I had to unexpectedly stay an extra night in Limerick city after an event timings change & car issues last weekend & a friend suggested booking into The Strand. With all the changes & issues it was more than a bit stressful initially, but Antonio & the rest of the team in The Strand made what could have been a disaster into a hugely enjoyable mini break providing us with early check in, early access to Leisure facilities & even helping to secure our car that had a broken window - they couldn't have been more helpful! A huge thank you to Antonio & his colleagues for saving the day with incredible customer service - as well as kindness & thoughtfulness throughout.

The bed was very comfortable and clean.
Lots of storage space.
Quiet and relaxing.

We love staying at the Strand and try to get away whenever we can. On this visit we decided to eat in the restaurant. There were a few delays with the food, but honestly what made the evening was the staff. One of the managers, Callum, was absolutely brilliant — so professional and kind, and really turned the experience around for us. He was great with both guests and staff, and everyone we dealt with that night was lovely. Great Team at The Limerick Strand Hotel

Booked this for a 1 night bed, breakfast and dinner experience- €357. Saturday night of a bank holiday, fair enough, thought it was expensive but its 4 star- right?

my issue here is not just how i was treated but rather taking the entire cost and saying was this 4 star or did i infact get value for my money- you can read and make up your own minds

checked in (with my wife beside me) and the check in lady checked us in and i paid the amount of €357 as per my package
the bed- extremely uncomfortable- my wife and i could not sleep
the food- bar food at best- bank holiday weekend- was not that busy but waited 45 minutes for our starter...!?!
Guinness in the bar- dont order it- warm cans would be better
at the end of the meal- waiter asked was i part of a package- i said yes- then then went away and came back and said everything was in order and that all i had to pay for was the drinks- no problem.
then at breakfast the following morning was told i had only booked breakfast and had to pay €14 for myself
at check out i went to the front desk and the checkout lady confirmed that everything was in order and that my bill was settled- lovely- thank you

then got a phone call later that day to say that i was only booked in for one person and that i owed them €55 for the food from last night- i explained everything that i said before- the guy was not interested=- was only there as a debt collector as all he wanted the money

so €426 for 2 people to stay, berakfast and dinner in a '4 star' hotel in limerick city- no, just no. will never set foot in this establishment again- €426 in any other hotel will get you a lot more value and comfort to sleep at night

oh and i left out that you then have to pay a €13 parking fee per night....

We stayed in the strand we could not believe the experience we got from the time we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful the hotel is immaculate.We ate in the bar and the food was amazing so fresh really good size portions.We stayed in the junior suite looking out at the water the room was so spacious the rituals in the bathroom are a fabulous touch.Darren one of the managers was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us

We had a really nice family dinner in the River Bar & Restaurant in the Strand Hotel, the food was gorgeous, and the menu had many different options with a complimentary glass of wine. Narayan the waiter was excellent, very efficient, very kind and went above and beyond.

It's absolutely fabulous!! The beds were so luxurious I nearly didn't want to get out of it. The towels were fluffy and plush.
The evening meal was beautiful, but the service was extremely slow. The table was booked for 6.15, but at 8.45, we were still waiting for our deserts. We asked for them to go and atte them in our room. Good gluten options.
We had the best sleep ever!
Breakfast was so tasty and plentiful with a separate gluten-free station.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we look forward to having the opportunity to stay again if we are ever in Limerick.

One of the best hotels in Limerick, lovely rooms and facilities, the best breakfast and staff that are present and extremely helpful. This is always my first choice.

The staff (Fernanda) who served me was very polite and did an excellent service.
It was a busy day and it was only her taking care of the entire floor close to the bar entrance. We requested her for quick service, she politely explained the number orders before us and insisted to try some of the good wines the restaurant had to offer. She was able to interpret was my interest in tase and suggest me the correct menu to order. She didn’t leave me to judge the food , instead she helped me as a sign of good customer service . I would go back to strand if Fernanda is there to take the order.
