Bar & Restaurant let down
Pros:

Room fine but broken light switches by bedside lamps. Went for a night cap at 23:20 to find that they ran out of Guinness and decided to have a spirit instead only to be told that there was only one cube of ice left that unfortunately they were also out of ice. How hard is to go to the ice machine even though it’s nearly closing time. Hotel loss as I like a good bit of ice with my spirits and decided against a room temperature drink. Also a dog sitting on a seat at a breakfast table in the morning. I do like dogs but not sitting at a table in a hotel restaurant. Bar and restaurant experience left a disappointing one star experience.

Pros:

My partner and I visited the Strand Hotel for our wedding tasting and were assisted by Narayan who was so friendly, attentive and polite. Excellent service!

Lovely spacious and clean!
Pros:

Absolutely spectacular! Clean spacious room. We there only one night but we would have stayed longer if we had known how great it was. Only hitch was no kitchen service after 9. Tough if you are hungry! Regardless, we highly recommend.
