our stay at 27 North (apparently name has changed to Liora Estate right after our visit) was a bit unique.
the room we stayed in was incredibly comfortable. we loved the fireplace, the balcony, and the jetted tub. our only room suggestion would be firmer pillows and mattress. we enjoyed the room so much we found ourselves going back to the room early just to enjoy the fireplace and the rain outside. the wonderful room helped offset the rest of the odd events of our stay.
we were greeted by a kind front desk woman at check in who was also serving as the valet and the bell hop. this felt a bit chaotic. we were disappointed to find out the restaurant was closed for renovations, and there would be no room service available. we were also disappointed to find that the "daily breakfast credit" we had through our chase sapphire reserve card consisted of lackluster pastries and coffee. we ended up seeking out our own breakfast 3 out of the 4 days of our stay.
we were disappointed to find the bar was closed 2 out of 4 nights of our stay due to staffing issues. we were informed staff was pulled to an event at farmhouse inn.
the hotel is absolutely lovely in appearance, the location is brilliant (right next to Healdsburg plaza) and the rooms are very comfortable, but the understaffing issues left us feeling a bit forgotten. hopefully, with the name change, this means the kinks are being worked out with staffing and amenities. the property has fantastic potential!
Room size is nice however for the price of $700 + per night they are quite lacking in care of the room. Loose faucets, Cracked water carafe, A/C not working at night adequately, no Shampoo in room (empty container in shower), No soap other than liquid hand soap in bathroom area. Lots of small things that are important for this price point. Apparently face soap is a thing of the past for this hotel. Breakfast was in bar area and there were French fries on the floor so not very appetizing. I wouldn't stay there again.
Great location and fireplace in the room.
The bed was too soft for our liking. My biggest issue is, that upon checkout, they wanted a card to charge a $40 resort fee. This is a small boutique hotel with no real additional amenities and this fee was not disclosed through booking. When I asked what the fee was for we were told for the concierge and booking wineries, which we did not use. I don’t like surprise $40 (!!) resort fee for a $1000 a night room. The girl at the front ultimately waived the fee, but this marred an otherwise nice stay. Add it to room price or better yet, don’t at this price point. These fees are even starting to disappear in Vegas because people don’t like to be nickel-and-dimed.
Beautiful boutique property at the heart of Healdsburg with an incredibly friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and come with gas fireplaces, which was especially perfect for a rainy fall weekend.
Restaurant wasn’t open, no happy hour etc.
The wife and I had a wonderful week at hotel 27 North and the beautiful town of Healdsburg. The hotel is centrally located in town which allowed us to sightsee on foot at a leisurely pace. On the days we ventured outside of Healdsburg, there seemed to be an endless number of sights within a 30 - 60 minutes' drive. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, it was an outstanding stay.
We had a wonderful stay! The staff was amazing; everyone we interacted with was incredibly helpful and kind. We also loved our room. The hotel was so generous and upgraded us to a spacious premium king room with a nice view. The hotel's location is perfect, right on the square! A special highlight was the big bathtub and the bath salts they provided.
We enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming and professional staff. Rooms were beautiful and clean.
Great hotel in Healdsburg.
Great location
No more breakfast, overpriced without any extra amenities
The rooms are elegant, staff is friendly and responsive. If you want to take a bath bring your own soap. They don't provide bath or face soap, only hand soap. Breakfast is Motel 6.
Weighing the good and the not so good, I'll be back knowing it's short comings. It is a beautiful hotel.
Fabulous updated decor since our last visit a couple of years ago, incredibly comfortable beds & large elegant bathrooms. Evening turndown service. Main lobby, bar & restaurant looks awesome, however we did not spend much time there as we were on a wine-tasting weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful, also with affiliated wineries. Will definitely stay there again. A gem in Healdsburg!
The staff were amazing, always welcoming and eager to help us with recommendations or valeting our car. The room was clean, quite, and comfortable. The location of the hotel within town could not have been more convenient. 10m walk to basically anything you want to do in Healdsburg from breakfast to dinner. Would not hesitate to stay again!
Perfect location. Loved having a cocktail bar on site.
My room 208 was a little noisy, being just next to the laundry area.
The hotel has a charming atmosphere, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautifully appointed, with comfortable bedding and pillows that made for a restful stay. The lighting and fireplace created a warm, romantic ambiance, and the location was perfect—within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
Very elegant, classy hotel with beautiful architecture and well designed rooms. The front desk staff at the hotel provided excellent service by being friendly and helpful. Housekeepers were very attentive and nice.
We are planning to return soon.
A very nice luxury hotel with large rooms with fireplace, bar and restaurant.
