Very nice hotel with comfortable room and a good breakfast
Rather unfriendly guy behind bar
Our room was very nice.
Bar food was very poor quality for the price.
Breakfast was basic and poor quality.
the food was very good
the music was goid the staff very good
the children running up and down the hall also banging doors till 3 in the morning.
Old needed amake over
and what amazed trying to find our bedroom.
Won't be recommended or going back again
Loved it been here 2 otter times if you keep the prices of the rooms low would be great and have more music on midweek
Lovely view of the river from the room!
Location and room. The hotel is well located in the town to access everything via walking. While dated in terms of furniture, the hotel was clean.
Regulation of room heating was tricky and overall a bit to warm for our liking as it made sleeping difficult. Breakfast was adequate, but a bit dry if you arrive for the late breakfast hours.
The room was comfortable and clean.
The noise from people waiting for and getting in and out of the lift was disruptive.
Good location on the Quay for a 1 night stay, comfy bed.
Blunt staff at the reception
Fried eggs and toast during breakfast wasn't tasty
I honestly love the location of the property. It was so easy to access the local shops and pubs and places to eat. we were able to leave our bikes at the hotel before checking in so we could explore city.Zhana the girl, at reception was very friendly and helpful. She even gave us a map on how to get to our room.
The changing area at the leisure centre wasn’t that clean.
The staff was supper friendly and very good
The hotel was spotless clean
Room 316 cramped . Shower not good. Service not great. Disappointing overall. Not good value for money.
About a week or so before our arrival date I emailed the hotel to find out about the free parking. No reply! I called a couple of days before our arrival and was given very poor and unhelpful details. The car park is actually in the Aldi car park. This is several minutes walk from the hotel and not ideal if you have a lot of luggage or it’s raining. These details should be listed on the booking as finding the car park can be quite confusing. There is paid car parking on the quay opposite the hotel which would be more appealing if you have children or are elderly. We arrived in pouring rain!
Alas the person on the reception desk was greatly lacking in interpersonal customer skills . Our room was very clean but far too small for two people and I would say it definitely was suitable only for one .
We found the bar food very uninteresting but settled for the tomato and basil soup which was delicious. However the two portions of chips were disappointing and looked like they were the dregs of the chip firer! Our corridor was extremely noisy with lots of shouting and some one being pushed onto the floor outside our room.
If elderly or have difficulty with walking then ask for a room near a lift as the corridors are like a labyrinth!
I have some thirty years of staying in hotels for work both here and in the UK which also included assessing hotels, so my observations are honest and without bias.
Definitely would NOT stay there again.
Lovely staff very welcoming
Very clean and great athmosphere
