Pros:

There were pubic hairs in the soap dish and the sink wouldn’t drain. Avoid this hotel if at all possible. It’s not clean or well maintained.

Pros:

The front desk was phenomenal during our stay but went above and beyond for us at checkout. We were looking for coffee on our way out but the coffee bar was closed. That was totally fine, we were just going to get on the road and find somewhere to get coffee on our way back to Muscle Shoals.
However, the front desk wasn’t having it. ☺️ they opened up the coffee bar and made all of us a drink before we left the hotel, & did it with smiles on their faces! They made it very obvious to us that they were happy to do it!
They didn’t have to do that, but it was incredibly sweet that they did. I wish I had gotten their names so I could list them here. They were so friendly to us as they cut up with us the entire time. We left the hotel in agreement that they deserved a 11/10 review! Highly recommend.

Room was nice and clean. Check in was easy and quick. Disappointing that the usual free breakfast was “for purchase” on Saturday morning. Most of the free breakfasts are ok but not to the level of purchase.

Stingy with utensils
Pros:

On a limited diet and have to bring my own breakfast. Asked for a spoon and was refused because I wouldn’t buy breakfast from the hotel. Had to use a straw to eat.
The next morning a different employee actually gave me plastic utensils to use. Why was this not an option the first morning?

AC unit very loud and noisy, plugs worn out, had issue with TV which reception corrected, inside fridge was broken and difficult to close, no shower mat, 2nd floor hallway carpet stained, directions for wifi difficult as it kept leading you to join Bonvoy. Depended on electrical outlet for CPAP so husband got little to no sleep. For the price very disappointing hd expected so much more

Pros:

The hotel was a great value. Great location surrounded by tons of restaurants. Don’t go to the goat though. The room was very spacious, very high ceilings. The shower had great water pressure. It was clean and quiet. The room has a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. The coffee maker is the type that uses those little individual plastic trays in the top. The AC was just on. Not super cold. They have Starbucks for sale in the lobby with a selection of food. Two muffins, a bagel and a cookie. They have beer and wine for sale at the little market. The beer we got was $6 and the white wine small bottle was $14. The cafe is only open for breakfast and dinner at 5pm. Not lunch. I kicked off one star because of the pool. The marcite needs to be replaced badly. There is no shade on the pool deck but they offer you pool towels. There is a gas grill and a little gazebo. The couch cushions in the gazebo had bird feathers and droppings on them.
The staff was very nice and helpful. We would stay here again if stopping in Montgomery again. Traveled with two kids 10 and 12. Good WiFi.
