Economical but run-down
Pros:

The resident cat. Frankly that was the only good thing about this place. Other than the fairly large kitchenette.

Cons:

1. Nothing worked...the dryer, the AC remotes (one remote only for 2 ACs in the room and didnt work for both), the fan regulators (either zero or full speed - nothing in between)...nobody seemed to bother about the maintenance of the unit.
2. Very disinterested staff...they couldn't care less about the guest's comfort.
3. Place can be quite deserted after 4 pm

Pros:

We asked for a ground floor room and it was lovely and spacious - plenty of room for cases. Huge bed with crisp, clean linen gave us a good night's sleep. The carpark was very secure, with plenty of room to move our vehicle and park near our unit.

Cons:

Although the bathroom was clean and tidy, it was old and tired looking. (Couldn't find a hair-dryer either). Wardrobe & cupboard space was good-sized but also old.

Excellent value for money, would stay again if we return to Cairns.
Pros:

Sam was so friendly and extremely helpful in assisting us with a very early check-in and also ensuring we had a ground floor apartment, as I have difficulty with stairs. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious, well-located near the Esplanade, and not far from the centre of Cairns.
The pool and gardens were lovely, and we also had a small garden area outside our living room.

Pros:

Overall a nice place, nice pool and a great cat downstairs.

Cons:

The room wasnt as cleaned as it shiuld unfortunately, we had to dishwash everything again, the couch smelled pretty bad, the blankets smelled really bad as well. If it wasnt for this, it could be really great.

Pros:

Location was good, our room was quiet

Cons:

The rooms are showing their age. No microwave in our room despite having the manual for one. Whilst there was plenty of hanging wardrobe space there was very limited shelves/ drawers for other items of clothing.
The sliding door could not lock properly

Great location, close to all you need in Cairns
Pros:

Friendly staff, super location only a very short walk to the boardwalk and restaurants.
The bed were very comfortable.

Cons:

The bathroom was a bit dated. We were on the third floor and had to carry our suitcases up as there is no elevator.

Pros:

Close to the town centre and waterfront area, with easy parking on site and friendly staff. Good aircon. Decent washing machine, very old dryer that only works for short periods at a time. Wifi mostly OK. Milk/tea/coffee/sugar provided. Cute cat living in the reception area!

Cons:

A few small things that if addressed would make things much better:
You have to pick up shampoo/conditioner at the reception, rather than it being in your room when you arrive - so good luck if you arrive after reception closes! There was no duvet for the bed, only a top sheet and some mink blankets in the wardrobe. They forgot to complete the apparently scheduled service in the middle of my 2 week stay. No cleaning amenities provided aside from dishwashing liquid to wipe down surfaces etc. Need to bring your own laundry powder. The bin in the kitchen would benefit from a lid.
The area is quite noisy with people on the streets yelling at night etc, and there is little soundproofing if others are partying/playing loud music in the complex. If you are wanting somewhere to stay while working, perhaps try a different place.
