The property was well maintained, clean and spacious.
The lights connected to the bathroom and the hall at the same time, would be better if they were seperate.
We stayed at Sea Change recently for five nights. I'll start with what we liked about the property - the staff and the location. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and do a great job at communicating with you before you arrive to make sure your check-in goes smoothly. It's important to note their on-site office is only open from 8:00-5:00. We also adored the location. It is directly across the street from Trinity Beach, which is beautiful, and a short walk from coffee shops and restaurants.
I know this place is highly reviewed, so now I will explain why I'm only giving it a 3 vs. a 4 or 5. We found our apartment was not thoroughly deep cleaned before our stay, and also noticed quite a few bugs throughout. I understand these are unserviced apartments and you are meant to clean after yourself. That is fine. However, our first day there we took shoes off at the door, and when I eventually sat down my feet were quite dusty and dirty. My mom and I got out the broom and went through the kitchen and found along the baseboards and in the nooks and crannies there was a substantial amount of crumbs and dust. In the laundry closet, if you reached up along the top of the washer, there was a thick covering of dust. The bathrooms seemed a bit moldy. We found that in person these apartments show their age much more than you see in the pictures, and I would be fine with that if it felt like the place had been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival, which it was not. On top of that, within a day or two I noticed tiny little bugs all in my toiletry bag, which I had left on the bathroom counter top, and during our stay we found two cockroaches. I get this is a tropical environment, but I live in the Philippines and have family from Barbados, so coming from tropical environments I can assure you, you don't HAVE to put up with bugs in apartments.
I hope the staff reads this and makes some interventions, because this place has great potential and a great location and I wish I had enjoyed it more because it's not cheap.
We liked the views from the apartment and the noise of the ocean waves. I think that the apartment needed a little more attention - it could be cleaned better. Of note, though, the shower pipe at the wall socket was leaking. It may need attention
The pool is right outside the rear door. There is no real privacy as tenants make use of the pool, and it is a bit noisy. its like strangers swimming in your own backyard. So, the kids used the pool only once, and as such, it didn't benefit us
Great place, quiet, clean, fab pool, plenty of room and walking distance to lots. Across from beach. Lovely all around.
Would be great if the spa was heated
We have stayed at Seachange multiple times. The apartments are spacious, clean & well appointed with large balcony or pool access.
Trinity Beach is a great location, lovely town with some very good restaurants & easy access to Cairns or north to Port Douglas for day trips.Already planning our 2027 visit!
