I was exceptionally pleased with the kindness and personal help I received from the tall, slender women that checked us in at the front desk.I don't remember her name ,but she was African American. We arrived a little early and we were planning for my son to change in the hotel restroom for the event we were attending, and she checked on our room and found out it was ready and allowed us to go to our room instead! the next day when my key wasn't working, she personally let me in the pool area & explained how the keys can get deactivated, she was very knowledgeable !
I payed for wifi and wasn’t able to access it my whole stay.
lots of people who don’t stay at the hotel in the pool
Location is perfect. In bistro is right across the street and there is great food just down the road. Close to the highway for easy access, and downtown Annapolis is within a close driving distance as well. They helped with a pack and play for the baby, and the staff was friendly. Only downside is $8 a day for parking. Didn't feel like that was warranted in that location, but it's not terrible.
Everything was fine from what we experienced.
No breakfast or shuttle as advertised online.
Overall, I have enjoyed my stays at this hotel and the experience has been good, which is why I have returned more than once. However, I do want to point out an issue regarding parking charges that should be communicated more clearly to guests.
After my second stay, I noticed I was charged an additional amount after my deposit had already been returned. When I called to ask about it, I was informed it was for parking. My concern is that I was never asked whether I parked on the property, and I was never informed at check-in that there would be a parking charge.
What makes this more confusing is that the website advertises free parking. That information should be communicated clearly both online and during check-in so guests fully understand any additional charges ahead of time.
A lot of people may not immediately notice extra charges on their account, so transparency is important. Other than that, my overall experience has been positive.
* Absolute worst! * Huge safety issues * Gave room away after checking in * Problems getting a refund and no real help. Had to leave since they could NOT help us and drove four hours back home at 7 pm after a long day in Annapolis. Travel to Annapolis a few times a month. Hilton Honors member. Booked Hilton Garden Inn three weeks in advance on Hilton app and got all the usual emails and confirmation number for a room with two queen beds. Checked in and picked my room day before my arrival. Got text confirming all. Went to hotel desk to check-in, in person and get plastic keys. There were three of us staying in the room. Front desk told me our room number was changed after I picked room day before. Went to room and it had a do not disturb on door. Used key to open the door. Obvious it was an occupied room. Back at front desk and they said they gave our prepaid room to someone else and that there were no other rooms available except for king room which would not work for three adults. Tried to get refund and told could not do that until the person currently in my room paid in morning. Not Right! And giving away room keys to open door to other peoples room huge safety concern - Not Good! There are so many better hotels in the area to stay at.
Location
They charge for a bottle of water
They are under construction, so what they put out was expected.
One problem I had and I sent it to the front desk was an error in the directions. When IOne problem I had and I sent it to the front desk was an error in the directions. When I tapped directions to that facility, it took me to the other Hilton Garden downtown.
The heat in my room. Didn't work. Reported it to the front desk and they couldn't fix it nor could I be accommodated to another roo.. staff said they would send electrician up and never did.
