A nice, unpretentious hotel in a great location

We loved it and will be back.
Pros:

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Beautiful scenic beachfront location. Historic boutique hotel, well maintained.

Cons:

There was nothing we did not like, but it might be a problem not having air conditioning. But yes the windows open wide and the fan is quiet.

Pros:

The team was very friendly and helpful. We booked 2 stays, arrived early for both, and were able to access our room before check-in. The staff also stored some luggage for us when we were between stays.

Pros:

We had a lovely stay. The restaurant was great and we really enjoyed the live music. The location is fantastic, and having on-site parking made things very easy. We also loved the old-style key for our room — such a charming touch — and the convenience of leaving it with reception while we were out.

Cons:

The lift was very slow ...we just took the stairs

An Amazing Stay. Thank you Jodea
Pros:

We loved our stay at the Sylvia Hotel. It’s right by Stanley Park, with tons of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was bigger than we expected, comfy, and just really nice to come back to at night.
Jodea made the whole stay special as she was so helpful and she took care of us from the start. And Hayden, thank you for helping us celebrate my friend’s birthday. The rest of the team were great too, even though I didn’t catch everyone’s name.
We had a really nice time and will definitely stay again next time we’re in Vancouver.

Cons:

Some of the furniture and fittings could use an update. But it didn’t take away from our experience.

I had two great days at the Sylvia. I highly recommend it, especially during the winter months, when there aren’t so man
Pros:

The Sylvia has one of the best locations in Vancouver, on English Bay. There are no buildings to block the view. De man street and Davie street are nearby for many, many restaurants and shops.

Cons:

I liked everything.
