A great place to stay: all the way excellent
Pros:

The interior decoration is very special, radiating warmte and welcome. Service is more than excellent. Mistakes are dealt with in an excellent and friendly way. The room was excellent with a good, though for me (194cm) a little short, bed. Bath and shower real good. Excellent food in the restaurant. And, for a change, the food you get via roomservice is actually as if it is served in the restaurant! The swimming pool is amazing. One good think to be on a beach or something. Of course there is a wonderful lounge area, with a great private dining room. It is sooo much better than the Ritz in every way possible. We loved it. One of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Good but a couple of things to improve on
Pros:

The bar has a nice feel and the food and drinks were very nice. The service is also good in the bar but it always seems a little slow.

The pool looks great but the temperature is too cold for a pleasant swim (we found it was too cold when we stayed a previous time too).

Restaurant service was good and the food was nice. Would have much preferred the option of a vegetarian main course as only meat and a vegan option available. Vegan option was quite nice but with it all being vegetables/lentils it was a bit too much of the same and I would have preferred some diary in it as some contrast.

Delicious breakfast!
Pros:

My sisters and I had the most beautiful late breakfast together in the hotel restaurant (we weren't guests). High quality ingredients and service! We had a lovely time and were made to feel very welcome. A perfect stop off before a visit to the theatre opposite!
