Room - faulty USB charging sockets on wall. Cracked floor tiles in bathroom. No complimentary shower cap, poor lighting in room, noisy plumbing. Breakfast so so,

I was greeted with a lovely group of staff.
Id had a very stressful day at the QE and arrived to a welcome second to none.
Claudia booked me in, what a delightful woman. The manager and chef were also very helpful. 10/10 for this Holiday Inn.
There wasnt anything I didnt like. Lovely brekky, comfortable room.

The constant smell of weed on the second floor. The receptionist on the front desk too busy messaging on their phone to check us in. Broken reading lights in room. One didn't work at all, the other was a like a strobe light. Good thing I don't have epilepsy.
£41 for a very comfortable bed with a full hot breakfast is hard to beat. Friendly staff.
I’ve stayed in many hotels of this chain located near to busy roads and even adjacent to motorways where the room’s ability to suppress external noise has been excellent.
Not the case for my room this time. My room overlooked a busy road and I was awake well into the early hours. I’d stay here again but I would have to request a room on the other side of the hotel.

I arrived in the night and the entrance wasn’t well lit.
I was in a room next to the storage room so could hear the staff during my slumber.
It was a great room, A good size with all the necessary amenities & a very comfortable bed. Good breakfast, free parking & dog friendly. It was also well situated to get back on the motorway very easily. Perfect for my needs.
