Breakfast wasn’t great
It was really smelly.
i personally did not enjoy this stay because i was not aware it was a party location. there are many people who come here to drink and party at all hours of the day and night. quiet hours are not respected. do not go out after 11pm, it’s a wild scene…not the fun kind. front desk staff was nice. cleaning lady not so very nice. there was a creepy crawly in my bed. the elevator barely works, be prepared to walk flights of stairs regularly. i wouldn’t recommend to stay in this hotel. hopefully things are different for newcomers. i will not be returning.
Great location but extremely noisy.
This hotel don’t have tel in the room don’t have fridge to watch Tv don’t have remote control in the room need to put deposit in reception to give you remote control, they’re not very good Hotel and I’m not happy at all
Hotel was good for 3 star. Staff nice. Great location
Very loud, full of groups on football team tours. Room was clean. However as two girls visiting we were subject to lots of unwanted attention. Nice pool bar however in the day the pool is rowdy with groups playing loud music. Room was safe and air con worked ok. We were surprised with a random tax charge when arriving off €22 which seemed abit dodgy. Views were amazing from top of rooftop bar, breakfast had a large selection.
I was probably not the target audience for this hotel as I'm not a group of Germans who drink for 16 hours straight.
Pros:
-Decent WiFi.
-Breakfast and evening meal are good.
-Good air-con in the room.
-Staff in canteen are friendly.
-good location. minutes away from beach, 3 corner shops (one next door, two across the street) for drinks and snacks and a larger supermarket for more stuff.
-tv is alright, has a lot of American shows (have to pay 10€ deposit at front desk for the remote).
Cons:
-Balcony doors were broken so wouldn't close properly and could hear every noise outside and smell every cigarette.
-housekeeping tries to barge their way in after repeatedly saying no (there is a button on the inside of the door which 'locks' the room from anyone using a keycard from outside but this seems to be a pointless action as they can get in anyway).
-very thin walls so you hear everything.
-double bed is two singles on wheels pushed together which slide around constantly.
-standard refillable drinks at breakfast but if you want any sort of drink with evening meal (alcohol, soft drink or water) you have to purchase it and you can't bring anything in.
-several minor maintenance issues in room which combined after a while become annoying.

A very pleasant stay with wonderful multilingual and friendly staff. The hotel appears to have been extended into numerous surrounding properties, which makes for a bit of a maze, which adds to its charm. Your room is cleaned daily by lovely staff. Very good value for money.
A group of 4 of us girls stayed in a studio apartment in Whala!Beach hotel mid April.
After reading all of the reviews before going, I expected our stay to be quite unpleasant, but I can honestly say that it was a lot better than expected.
We arrived after midnight and there were 2 members of staff on desk ready to greet us. The check in process was quick and we were taken to our apartment, which by the layout, looked as if it was located in the older part of the hotel. The room was ready for us with 4 big towels and 4 hand towels laid out, along with the bed being made up and both sofa beds having pillows and sheeting on ready. The duvet covers were located in the wardrobe in the bedroom, so we were very pleased, considering we arrived late, we just wanted to get straight into bed.
The rooms themselves aren't quite as the pictures show, they are a little more dated and the layout does seem different to what's advertised, but we didn't mind. It might be different in the rooms located in the newer section of the hotel.
Once we were ready for clean towels, we put the sign on the door and went out for the day, and by the time we were back at the hotel, we had all fresh towels provided and floors cleaned.
We went up to the rooftop pool (located on the 9th floor) throughout our stay, which had a bar in which you could also order food there, which comes from the diner upstairs. This service was quick and very affordable, with a minimum spend of 10 euros for the diner. The pictures show 2 outdoor pools, but for some reason, we could only find the rooftop pool whilst there, with there being a private sunbathing area on floor 8 which wasn't accessible during our stay
The location was great, being only a minute walk from the beach and shops everywhere you go, even directly in front and behind of the hotel. These shops are extremely affordable and if you don't have enough room to bring a beach towel, they sell them in all of the shops around the hotel for only 3.95 - 5 euros.
The main negative that I've read a lot of reviews about would be the noise. Where we were located, our door took us straight outside to a courtyard area. During the hours of 4-6am, around 5 big bins would be jet washed along with the metal stairs leading up to the apartment. This was very loud and disrupted us every night we were staying there. The walls and windows are also very thin, so we could hear every conversation on the street outside and all the thudding of kids running upstairs constantly. Luckily, we were only in the room to sleep and out all day.
Another negative would be the fact that there is only 1 elevator for the whole hotel. The first day we were there we wanted to go up to the pool on floor 9. This took a whole 10 minutes minimum as it would stop at every single floor, even if there was no one waiting on that floor. A lot of people resorted to walking up and down the stairs instead, which I can imagine would be hard for families with pushchairs for example.
Very good location by the beach and also a quick transfer time to/from airport and it's near to the city centre. Staff nice but when we arrived early we were told we had to wait till the proper check in time which was annoying, but normal I guess. Room had a small balcony with sea view which we loved and everything was clean. The breakfast was great. A wide choice of things to suit everyone and we really enjoyed it every morning. Staff very friendly and made sure things were kept clean in the restaurant. There's a small supermarket close to the hotel and you're spoilt for choice if you're eating out in the evening as there are loads of bars and restaurants in the area. The beach and long walkway all along the length of the beach was the highlight for us. Great for morning walks. Good stay at this hotel and a good price for the location.
We recently stayed at Whala!Beach in Arenal, Mallorca, and overall had a lovely experience. The location is absolutely perfect! It’s just a stone’s throw from the beach and surrounded by plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars, everything you need is right on your doorstep.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were greeted by the reception staff, who were friendly and welcoming, a great start to our holiday. Our apartment was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for four people. We had a bath towel and hand towel each, which was also replaced with fresh towels half way through our holiday. There is also a shower gel dispenser in the bathroom and plenty of toilet roll available. It included a small kitchenette with basic utensils, pots, pans, cutlery, a fridge, and a microwave. The only thing we missed was a kettle, which would’ve been handy for morning tea or coffee.
One small disappointment was the balcony. The website had shown a private balcony, but instead, we had access to a shared stairwell-style veranda outside the apartment, overlooking a courtyard. To be fair, we visited in mid-April and likely wouldn’t have used a balcony much anyway.
The hotel and lobby area were modern, beautifully clean, and always smelled amazing. However, there seems to be only one elevator, which could be an issue for accessibility.
The Hotel offered a free WiFi service which worked well in most of the hotel including the rooftop bar, however hotel rooms or apartments on the outer edges had no connection at all.
The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight! It’s a lovely, clean space with a small pool, a separate children's pool, and breathtaking views of the island. All of the staff up there were fantastic, friendly, attentive, and helpful. That said, we did wonder how it might handle crowds during peak season, as there didn’t seem to be a large number of loungers or seating.
The website also mentioned a larger pool overlooking the beach, but we weren’t able to locate it. It might be reserved for premium guests, though this wasn’t made very clear during our stay.
While we didn’t dine at the hotel, there is a dining room on the first floor offering food, which looked convenient for those wanting to stay in.
We used Uber regularly throughout our trip and found it incredibly convenient. The location of the hotel meant only short wait times and easy pickups, which made getting around stress free.
One important thing to mention is the noise. Before our trip, we read reviews about noise issues and assumed it meant rowdy guests, but in reality, the biggest disturbance came from hotel maintenance. From around 4–5am, there’s a lot of loud cleaning activity, including jet washing, bin emptying, and general banging and clanging especially near the apartment block. It’s VERY loud and could be disruptive for light sleepers or families with young children. We’d recommend requesting rooms higher up in the main hotel building.
Overall, it’s a really nice and affordable hotel in an unbeatable location with lovely staff and great facilities. We genuinely enjoyed our stay (we just wish we’d stayed a little further away from all the early morning commotion!)
Surprised my gf with a last minute break to Mallorca and booked it online. We both though it was brilliant. Hadn't really looked at the pics online before booking and was pleasantly impressed with the location of the hotel once we got there. Great staff welcomed us in English and explained everything to us. The room was spotless and the bed great (but it is not a new hotel). Food good and I'm glad I'd booked B&B as it was buffet style and eat as much as you want. Great location and we had a fantastic few nights here. I imagine that in later months during summer it will get too busy, so if we go back we will book for September or October.
Overall this property was average and "felt" more like an upmarket Hostel than a Hotel.
The hotel itself on 1st impression seems quite modern. The hotel was currently undergoing some repairs with workmen on some mornings operating a numatic drill at about 09:00. The hotel corridors seemed dusty all the time and there was noise all day and night.
Pool facilities although boasting of 4 pools, these are little more than paddling pools.
On the plus side the roof top bar was lovely along with the staff who worked in it, especially the older fella whose name I cannot remember. For the price we paid the rooms were fine other than inward facing to a 24hr a day access courtyard however I spoke to some who had paid an awful lot more the same deal.
The area pictured from the hotel does not reflect what you see on the ground, it's close to the beach but not on it, it is also a bit more run down than the Palma end of the strip and can feel quite unsafe later at nights.
If you're looking a place to kip after a session or a short stay I would say this is more than ideal but for a relaxing break it's not a great shout
Lack of parking. Noisy. Did not like the room
Nice break away in Mallorca. The hotel was as we expected it to be. Clean and comfortable room and although it was nothing luxurious, it was just what we needed. Location is fantastic and the staff are really very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent! Great choices and freshly prepared every day. We are early risers so were down to eat pretty early which worked great as it was quieter. The beach is gorgeous and there were all the amenities we needed close to the hotel. Lot's of cafes, restaurants, shops and the bus stop is close by too. The lift was slow which was the only downside for us. Enjoyed our week here!
I'm not sure where the photos on their website were taken as they don't resemble it at all! Tired decor, peeling paint and plaster that had been painted over many times!
Check in....40 min wait in a queue to be told our room wasn't ready. Another half an hour queue to get our key when it was. 1 tiny lift with a constant queue. Very basic rooms, although clean with plenty of towels. No pool towels, no toiletries (unless you count the dispenser in the shower which seemed to contain washing up liquid!) Awful drain smell coming up through the plugholes but a very good shower. 2 pools that are TINY and 1 had no water in it. Very noisy 24/7 walls are so thin you can hear everything in all the surrounding rooms. Beautiful beach but unfortunately, strewn with litter. Great location if you like 24/7 supermarkets and noisy nightlife. Staff were all lovely.
Very nice stay overall. Beach across the road, rooftop pools, sunbathing and drinks bar.
Great location and staff were very helpful and friendly.
