Great hotel right on the canal. The staff was very attentive, room was great and the breakfast was spectacular. Would definitely stay here again!
What a beautiful hotel - so unique and very charming. The outdoor dining area was perfect for taking in all the water traffic. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Although we only ate breakfast there, the menus for the evening looked for good. the location was great. So many unique shops, main square type area and so many restaurant options. I would most definitely stay here again.

Perfecte locatie, heerlijk terras aan het Canal Grande en zeer vriendelijk personeel.
460€ per nacht voor een zolderkamer van 15m2 met alleen een dakraam in de nok is echt zwaar overprijsd en het beloofde ‘grote’ bed bleek 140 breed en aan één kant amper bereikbaar…. Maar hé, je slaapt dan wel in een 500 jaar oud klooster in Venetië… dus niet zeuren!
We love this hotel and this was likely our 10th stay. The staff and the facility is amazing and the location on the canal can’t be beat. We do miss the old buffet breakfast they used to have that was so very Italian. We find ourselves not eating breakfast with the current arrangement. The dinner however is excellent
Excellent location, right next to the vaporetto stop
The “superior” room barely had windows, the tiles in the bathroom were chipped and the television didn’t work. For the price of the booking the room itself was hugely disappointing.

We had a wonderful experience at Palazzo Stern! The hotel is beautiful, filled with history and art. We stayed in a larger room with beautiful views of the main canal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. The location is perfect for quieter walks, access to historic locations and restaurants. We highly recommend Palazzo Stern!

a fermata PIAZZALE ROMA in 34 minuti
Ordinato 1 caffè espresso, ricevuto 1 caffè americano
Scortesia della cameriera [forse bisognerebbe spiegarle che NON si deve mettere fretta a ordinazioni e assillare con petulanza] che farebbe meglio a recepire ordinazioni effettuate.
Colazione bellissima in terrazza panoramica al piano terra con affaccio sul Canal Grande [peccato per i piccioni che sono alla naturale ricerca di cibo]
Problema di assenza di acqua calda con la vasca/doccia [NON arrivava per nulla acqua calda e tale problematica era stata segnalata quella mattina anche da clienti altra camere al medesimo piano. INTOLLERABILE visto che erano 09.00 AM.
Ancora più grave un secondo pagamento tramite preautorizzazione effettuata a distanza di 24 ore dalla prima che evidenzia una scarsa comunicazione tra addetti o una peggiore gestione delle operazioni.
Ripercussioni nel mese per il fatto che entrambi tali preautorizzazioni a distanza di 29 giorni fossero ancora pendenti [la seconda ASSURDA era da cancellare immediatamente come errore]
We loved the location of Hotel Palazzo Stern. We enjoyed that it was on the water but not a super busy part of the canal. We appreciated the fact there was a restaurant and breakfast available in the morning as well as apertivo in the evening. We also loved that there was a vaporetto stop right outside the hotel, which made it more affordable to get to all the places if we didn’t want to walk.
I can’t say there was anything specifically that I didn’t like about the property.
An ideal location on the Grand canal. Close to plenty of good restaurants and lots of interesting side street and canals. Easy to get to on the No.1 vaparetto or walking. Beautiful traditional decor. Friendly, helpful service. The rooms are clean (we've stayed here twice now) and cool and have all amenities. The location and the hotel itself are quiet. It is not the cheapest place to stay in Venice, but it is lovely.
